Fracking injects toxic fluid (water mixed with sand and chemicals) at a high pressure to fracture shale rocks and access oil and natural gas. Injected pollution of 600 chemicals that include lead, uranium, mercury, ethylene glycol, radium, methanol, hydrochloric acid and formaldehyde seeps into groundwater. Each fracking operation involves between one and eight million gallons of water that can never be used again because of its extreme chemical content.
