Brits who haven’t had a Covid vaccine without good reason are “idiots”, Tony Blair declared today.
The former Prime Minister issued a blast at the millions who have still not had a first jab against the deadly disease.
Mr Blair told Times Radio: “If you’re not vaccinated at the moment and you’re, you’re eligible and you’ve got no health reason for not being vaccinated, you’re not just irresponsible, I mean, you’re an idiot.
“I’m sorry, I mean, truthfully you are.”
Mr Blair’s comments go far further than Tory ministers – who have previously tried to avoid condemning those who have not yet had a jab, and have ruled out compulsory jabs for the population.

Satanic NHS makes plans for field hospitals (note the military terminology) in preparation for wave of fake ‘Omicron’ (a test trick) ‘Covid cases’

The contingency measures, first reported in health journal HSJ, are being put in place due to continuing uncertainty around the volume of admissions that can be expected in January.
NHS England held a series of calls on Tuesday during which they asked local leaders to plan for a severe wave of admissions.
During the calls health bosses from NHS Trusts around England were told to identify hardstanding areas where temporary field hospitals could be sited.
The tented units would be an alternative to the Nightingale Hospitals that were set up in in larger units at the outset of the pandemic, and which have now been decommissioned or repurposed.
While NHS England is yet to formally request military support to provide the field hospitals, it is expected that the call for support from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) could go in as early as this week.
The MoD field hospitals could prove crucial as the NHS seeks to expand capacity during the Omicron wave.

Unvaccinated people who catch Covid are up to 60 times more likely to end up in an intensive care ward than those who have been jabbed, startling figures reveal.
And the difference that vaccination makes to the chance of needing intensive care is starkest among older people – who are more likely to suffer serious Covid illness in the first place.
It comes as Covid hospital admissions in London — Britain’s Omicron ground zero — are within touching distance of the Government’s threshold of 400 for introducing lockdown restrictions across the country.
Latest NHS data shows there were 386 new admissions for the virus in the capital on December 22, marking a 92 per cent rise on the figure last week.
Covid hospitalisations are now doubling roughly every 10 days – though they are still a far cry from the 850 at the peak last January.
Ministers are said to be watching admission rates in the capital before pulling the trigger on more national curbs because London is a few weeks ahead in its Omicron outbreak.

CDC says it exaggerated Omicron’s spread – You don’t say? Never, surely

The figure, overstated by around 225%, had been put out ahead of last week’s stern warning to Americans issued by Joe Biden.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has corrected its Covid-19 reporting, saying its previous estimate for the percentage of new cases caused by the Omicron variant was more than triple the actual figure.
Only 22.5% of US Covid-19 infections recorded in the week that ended on December 18 were linked to Omicron, rather than the 73.2% estimate that was announced last week, the CDC said on Tuesday. It also revealed that the new strain accounted for 58.6% of new cases in the week that ended on December 25, while almost all other infections were caused by the Delta variant.
The CDC attributed its huge miss on last week’s report – which triggered dramatic headlines about the variant’s lightning-fast spread – to new data becoming available. ABC News referred to Tuesday’s revised figure on Omicron cases as “noticeably lower.”
We had more data come in from that timeframe and there was a reduced proportion of Omicron,” a CDC spokesperson told Reuters. “It’s important to note that we’re still seeing a steady increase in the proportion of Omicron.”

Two thirds of the 25 staff based in Belgium’s Princess Elisabeth Polar Station have caught Covid, the Le Soir newspaper reported, proving there is no escape from the global pandemic.
The Omicron outbreak happened despite all staff passing multiple PCR tests, quarantining and living in one of the most remote places in the world.
The situation has echoes of the plot of John Carpenter’s 1982 horror classic The Thing,which was advertised with the slogan “man is the warmest place to hide”.
An alien life form infects workers on an Antarctic station in the cult Sci fi chiller, which starred Kurt Russell. Unlike the film, none of the infected Belgians have exhibited any severe symptoms – let alone been transformed into bloodthirsty beasts that can only be killed by incineration.
All 25 researchers were fully vaccinated and one had a booster shot. Before leaving for the station, they underwent a PCR test in Belgium two hours before flying to South Africa.
In South Africa, they quarantined for ten days and took another PCR test. A further test was needed when leaving Cape Town for Antarctica and a final one five days after that.
One person tested positive seven days after arriving at the station on December 14. The person was isolated but tests revealed two others had caught the virus.  The three were evacuated on December 23 but the virus has continued to spread.
It is thought to be the Omicron variant because that is responsible for 99 per cent of infections in South Africa.

As a matter of fact, CCDH does not negate or even debate the accuracy of any of them. It just brushes them aside as “misinformation and lies” without providing any proof whatsoever, then goes on to slander and lie about the “anti-vaxxers” and call for all of us to be silenced….

Lies, Damn Lies, and ‘Covid’ Hospitalisation Statistics

Last summer when the data from Public Health England began to look a bit weak on Covid vaccine effectiveness, Sky News ran a segment commenting on some data in an official government report. It had been circulating on social media and fuelling ‘vaccine hesitancy’, according to some people. Perhaps it was time for a mainstream news outlet to reassure the public.
And so Table 5 from a government report that summarised vaccination data from February to July 2021 made it on to telly. The data showed that of the over-50s who caught the Delta variant in the UK, around 13,700 had been vaccinated at least once; around 2,400 had not been vaccinated.
That is “about 85% of those catching the virus being double-jabbed, which is a little higher than one would expect” said the Sky News reporter. But he reassured viewers that what matters is hospitalisations. “Of the vaccinated people, some 3.5% were hospitalised. Of the unvaccinated people, some 8.4% were hospitalised.

In other words, the rate of hospitalisations per case was 2.4 times higher among those who were unvaccinated.”[i] That sounded like a reasonable way of presenting the data. It meant that one might wish to get vaccinated if elderly or within a vulnerable group, in order to halve one’s chances of going to hospital with Covid.
I thought that level of risk reduction is not sufficient to mean that vaccination rates would affect hospital capacity significantly – especially not vaccination for younger generations who rarely end up in hospital anyway. It meant that although Covid vaccinations were not working well for stopping infections, and might soon be ineffective due to viral evolution, so long as they were safe, as far as staying out of hospital was concerned, there was some benefit in the elderly and the vulnerable getting jabbed.
At the time I did not see the benefit in mass vaccination as the jabs were not preventing transmission, so herd immunity from the jab seemed a fantasy.
I was concerned about the policy makers and media focusing everything on vaccines and their demonising the unvaccinated to excuse their theft of our basic civil liberties. But I respected when people said at least the vaccinations reduce hospitalisation. But in recent weeks some people have told me we should all get vaccinated to reduce pressure on our health services. Some say we should be punished for not doing so.
Their rationale is that vaccines reduce hospitalisations by ‘more than 90 percent’. I wondered where they got that statistic from and so looked into the official data. I discovered that yes indeed the latest official report – number 50 from UK Health Security Agency – makes that claim of 90 percent reduced hospitalisation. But I wondered why there is such a discrepancy with the analysis of the basic data, such as that reported by Sky News.

All vaccine centres in England should be offering jabs for 12 to 15-year-olds as standard to boost the sluggish uptake in the age group, an expert has said.
Russell Viner, professor of child and adolescent health at University College London, said the roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine was being delayed by the fact that many centres do not jab younger teens.
He also called on Boris Johnson to front a coronavirus press conference for young people to drive home the message that they should get vaccinated.
And he said the Government should make use of “peer type influencers”, including on social media platforms such as Instagram, as well as potentially recruiting “vaccination champions in schools, trying to get other kids to step up and want it”.
In England, only 49.2 per cent of 12 to 15-year-olds had received a first dose of the vaccine as of 3 January. In Scotland, the figure for the end of December stood at 64.4 per cent. Figures are not available for Wales and Northern Ireland.
Parents have reported struggling to find vaccine centres to get their child a jab before the start of term. Not all centres offer 12 to 15-year-olds jabs because they are not set up to handle issues of consent, or lack the necessary child safeguarding paperwork.
Professor Viner, who is a member of the Government’s Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage), said the variation had to be ironed out.

LBC presenter Maajid Nawaz axed following backlash to telling the truth about ‘Covid’ fascism while fellow presenter Iain Dale confirms why he’ll never be axed for telling the truth

Maajid Nawaz, the presenter who has faced criticism for his views on coronavirus and vaccinations, has been axed from LBC with “immediate effect”, the radio station has announced.
Mr Nawaz, who joined LBC in September 2016, previously took to Twitter expressing concerns around the potential for “crimes against humanity” around Covid vaccinations, adding he has had “no choice but to become a conscientious objector in solidarity with the unvaccinated”.
“I will NOT be getting any BOOSTERS,” he said.
The comments were slammed by fellow LBC presenter Iain Dale, who branded Mr Nawaz’s remarks as “irresponsible and dangerous propaganda”.
He tweeted: “In 11 years on LBC I have never publicly called out a fellow presenter. But I can’t stand by while this sort of irresponsible and dangerous propaganda is spread by someone who ought to know better.

Dr Steven James sparked fury among NHS staff for telling Health Secretary Sajid Javid that “the science isn’t strong enough” around vaccines.
He has refused to have a Covid jab because he has acquired enough antibodies having previously been infected with the virus.
However, Dr Hilary told Good Morning Britain this meant he had exposed more people to the potential of catching coronavirus.
He said the “vast majority” of doctors and scientists agree with mandatory vaccinations in the NHS.
He added: “By his own admission, he has antibodies, so at some point he has been in contact with coronavirus and has been capable of transmitting coronavirus to the sickest patients in society in intensive and critical care.
“Having not been vaccinated, he is likely to have a higher viral load when he’s been infectious and to carry that virus for longer.
“All the science shows transmission in an unvaccinated person is likely to carry on for longer than it would in a vaccinated person.
“He talks about the risk to himself – there is an ethical duty for doctors under the GMT regulations in clinical diseases to immunise yourself to protect the risk to your patients and clearly this isn’t happening here.”
Richard Madeley told Dr James: “That was an effective telling off.”
He added: “You have effectively put patients at risk.”
Dr James responded: “I am not a fringe person. I am having an expression of my voice – a voice that hasn’t been heard.
