a thread to discuss the songs richie plays on the show, cos i'm increasingly delighted.

ones i've been especially pleased to hear lately:

genesis - land of confusion
counting crows - big yellow taxi
amy winehouse - love is a losing game
the dandy warhols - bohemian like you (on an archived show)

and i can't remember if the who's the seeker was played or not, but i'm a bit obsessed with it lately and i'd like it to be. (hint hint) Cool

also with all this censorship going on, might you play big mouth strikes again by the smiths anytime soon? lol

also, i LOVED the rant about bono and u2, cos i had bullet the blue sky stuck in my head the day before. rekindled my love for them/their music just in time for st patrick's day. Tongue

what about the rest of you? any comments for richie as dj?

the cure is never a bad choice.

have been on the fence about the bee gees... though it did have that gentle, sunday feel to it that suited my half awake state at the time. so, well played!

ah, i predict 'you are the pocket' will be number one next week with a bullet. (hopefully, not literally.)

loved the chart on the 27 march show! lol

correction: 'corbyn is the pocket'.

was already looking forward to it becoming a popular insult, like 'you are fake news'.

i was impressed to hear she and him on the show too, though i think he cut it short to eagerly get to his interview if i remember Smile

and more recently: runaround by blues traveler. as a calm down song! lol i thought i was the only who talked about songs that way. ha!

haha no worries, i was really impressed with your persistence when i was realised all the posts were yours!..

i heard the angst-soothing blues traveler song alright, but it reminded me of ed sheeran a bit, which ruined it for me (probably a very unfair comparison, sorry to b.t.!)....

i liked the bob seger song he played a few weeks back, i think it was bob seger anyway..

my favourite all-time band is r.e.m. and i'm surprised Richie hasn't played them to my knowledge, indeed some of their political songs would especially suit the show..
