person of colour actually refers to anyone who's not 'white'. leaves lots of possibilities.

i find it interesting (in a negative way) that people still say things like jewish people (alive today) killed jesus (thousands of years ago), yet people think jewish people (alive today) go on too much about the holocaust, or that people of african descent (alive today) go on too much about the slave trade diaspora and subsequent centuries of racism, etc - about events much more recent.

not that i know if you, personally, share ALL of those viewpoints, of course. just musing from a 'people say' perspective....

but yes, going on and on in great irritation about these details of a movie you (presumably) simply won't go see because it offends you on theological grounds, does give you that -ist appearance. perhaps it is a presentation issue, if you truly are not. (i.e., a why bring it up/let it get to you then? issue.)

forgot to mention: your point about non-believers making the films is fair enough. but it's a bit like richie was saying about those kids photoshopping the movie posters: you'll have to get cracking on your own screenplays. hollywood is all but a lost cause.

i couldn't believe anyone (in the public) had any interest in the oscars after the barrage of news stories we've been subjected to since october.
In one of the reviews I read, they referred to this movie as the Me-too version of the story of Jesus. It was that aspect of the story I found interesting, in the light of it being owned by the Weinstein company. The Jews that killed Jesus were the remnants of the Hebrew tribes of Judah and Benjamin, who had returned to Jerusalem after the captivity in Babylon. Where they formulated the Law of the Talmud (of Babylonian origin) and replaced the Mosaic law they had been given. The current 'Jews' are Ashkenazim in origin, and were not there at the time Jesus was crucified. The other ten tribes never returned from their captivity after the conquest of the Northern lands of Israel by the Assyrians . They moved through Europe as the Celts, the Jutes, the Saxons (sons of Issac) and the Danes who settled in Denmark or Dan Mark, as is it is known, and in the British isles. The Russian Slavic people are descendants of Esau the brother of Jacob (the union Jack is the union of Jacob), thus the origins and motivation,of the current threats of conflict in the news. The throne of King David came to Ireland with the daughters of Zedekiah and the Prophet Jeremiah along with the stone of destiny, which is currently in Scotland. King David was not a man of color, as he was of ruddy appearance in other words he was fair with red hair. It is very difficult to up date a story which is thousands of years old. That is like trying to explain one of Alf Garnet's TV shows to a Millennial. I don't have to make a movie to tell this story, so I am not going to try, it just saddens me that the same hidden hand narrative has corrupted every story today.
