New £10k tax on home owners - Daleslady - 01-23-2018
The members of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority have voted to target outsiders who own a holiday home with a punitive Council Tax of £10,000 per year minimum (a 500% increase), totally unaffordable to the ordinary families from the mill towns and built up areas around here who have saved up to have a little cottage in the fresh air. Is this designed to drive them out? is it therefore a form of cleansing? The proponents want to "halt then reverse" outsiders buying a second home - friendly eh?

That’s the 1st thing I thought... agenda 21/30!
Once there’s only a few left affordin the 10k council tax, they’ll think of a way to make it impossible for those people too & they’ll end up like the rest of us ... forced into the urban areas!

Typical trick of the powers that should not be, first it was the nationalists that destroyed homes in Wales of those who bought up the local houses, now its the government cashing in and helping themselves, we are truly entering very interesting times as always happens at the end of a cycle and a beginning of another.
They will try the old trick of a hearth tax again one day to those whith more than one chimney it will be deemed they are above average wealth if they can afford two wood stoves.
Al part of the agenda to empower the energy suppliers and take away freedom of choice for those who want to chose their fuel type to stay warm.
