RE: The Makers of Things - The Apprentice - 02-06-2019 I have been out of action for a while but I'm back at the old workbench for 2019, when I put the thread on the forum I never thought as many would have looked at what I had made, so this year I will be putting lots more things in the running. Here is my first real winter project for the new year, similar items are available but being a fairly poor maker of things but multi tallented I made my self this 3D pantograph for my own honey bee insemination program, one of these in the retail world costs over 5K, I have managed to make this unit for less than 50 pounds. 20190428_110658 by apprentice 01, on Flickr Here is a similar one in action, retail costs are 6K https://youtu.be/pqU9kPHbBy0 RE: The Makers of Things - Firestarter - 06-09-2019 (04-26-2018, 08:45 AM)The Apprentice Wrote: It seems that something does not want my pictures to show on my thread here, maybe its a glitch in the Postimage system, but after a while they are being blocked from the forum even though I have used the correct meta data/link to paste into the forum. I´ve had the same problem... For some reason the wonderful postimages.org changed the URLs of existing images! One of the images you’ve hotlinked to one page 1: https://postimg.org/image/5ahjlhmyb/ The “postimg.ORG” was changed into “postimg.CC”; when you go to https://postimg.cc/image/5ahjlhmyb/; and then use right mouse button to find https://i.postimg.cc/qvgFZym2/20170503-155806.jpg and hotlink to it... Thanks for the heads up, I use several places to post images now to cut down the chances of them going missing. RE: The Makers of Things - The Apprentice - 06-25-2019 Over the last several days it's been raining again so I have been busy tinkering in the old workshop, her in doors really likes dragon flies so I put this together this pendant using scrap silver sheet for the wings and a shank from an old George 4th silver spoon, the eyes I hand turned from Pink Ivorywood, the kind that the Zulu cheifs of old had as their Royal ceremony. 20150101_011628 by apprentice 01, on Flickr Thanks for looking. RE: The Makers of Things - The Apprentice - 07-25-2019 Two hair ties, one made from brass and the other silver from recycled items, 20150101_010749 by apprentice 01, on Flickr RE: The Makers of Things - The Apprentice - 09-23-2019 My homemade Persian braacelet, 1.50mm silver wire, 20150101_012125 by apprentice 01, on Flickr RE: The Makers of Things - The Apprentice - 02-09-2020 Post image changed their standing so I lots most if not all of my pictures there, so I now have a flickr account, Here is something I made towards the end of last year, two pendant in recycled sterling silver. 20170512_163352 by apprentice 01, on Flickr RE: The Makers of Things - The Apprentice - 04-21-2020 Hi folks it been a while since I made anything, here is something I have made for here indoors over the winter and spring. A matching pair of bronze gardening trowels, with handturned applewood handles. 20150101_084013 by apprentice 01, on Flickr RE: The Makers of Things - The Apprentice - 04-23-2020 (09-23-2019, 07:17 PM)The Apprentice Wrote: My most recent project was this Trojan helmet pendant made from recycled Sterling silver, it measures 50.00mm by 30.00mm by 4.00mm thick, and weighs 2 fully Troy onces. I will be updating as many of the files and photos that I lost earlier. RE: The Makers of Things - The Apprentice - 04-27-2020 I need a little help in trying to find out if my threads on the David Icke forum have been removed, one was called Hands and Minds where I added things that I made, together with other creative makers wares, it seems to be missing as well as the communities thread/forum that did so well on the old forum, it seems as if creativity is frowned upon and has been put out to grass on the new forum. |
