General Election 2018? - sjp01 - 01-24-2018
I'm afraid I will have to disagree with Richie on this one, I don't think there is a cat in hell's chance of a UK General Election this year. With the fixed terms act, it would take two thirds of MPs to vote in favour of an election. Firstly, I doubt there are many Tory MPs who are confident of reataining power, plus the DUP are loving the fact that they are holding the goverment to ransom. It is my prediction that this parliament will last a full five years.

The other thing is that Brexit is The Poisoned Chalice
Whoever runs UK PLC in 2018 will not get a kind entry in the history books, and their name and reputation will be mud for at least a couple of decades. Its no wonder that Peter Prince of Darkness order minion Chukka Umma to abort his mission to take over the Labour Party. Not that any electable party has a viable position on Brexit.
