The Global Warming / Climate Change myth. - Steve - 03-25-2018 Earth climate doesn’t change because it always has. There are cycles of warming and cooling depending on cycles of sun activity. Human activity is not the cause and humans in this regard are not the ‘enemy’. Carbon dioxide has been demonised, purely to demonise industrialisation, when without it, life on our planet would not exist. It’s contribution to greenhouse gases is so ridiculously small. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and transform it into oxygen. The Greenhouse effect retains heat close to the Earth, without which we would freeze, and is created almost in totality by water vapour and clouds. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is insignificant by comparison and the vast majority of that is natural and not caused by human activity. Professor Leslie Woodcock, Emeritus Professor at the University of Manchester, fellow of the Royal Society of Chemical Engineering, a recipient of a Max Plank Society Visiting Fellowship and former NASA researcher, said: Water is a much more powerful greenhouse gas, and there is 20 times more of it in our atmosphere, around one percent of the atmosphere, whereas CO2 is only 0.04 percent. Carbon dioxide has been made out to be some kind of toxic gas, but the truth is that it’s the gas of life. We breathe it out, plants breathe it in and it’s not caused by us. Global warming is nonsense. RE: The Global Warming / Climate Change myth. - The Apprentice - 03-25-2018 (03-25-2018, 12:02 PM)Steve Wrote: Earth climate doesn’t change because it always has. How to make the most of the limited gass called Co2. If you study how new growth flourishes shortly after a huge forest fire you will notice one thing in abundance and that is charcoal or carbon, the building blocks of life. The charcoal itself does not feed the new growth but Co2 is readily absorbed by charcoal or carbon and acts as a storage device for this very rare gass on earth. As the fires burn deep into the earth the resinous roots char burn up to two feet in depth and Co2 being heavier than air sink into the ground and are stored for up to 100 years by the charcoal, from here they feed the new growth. For those who have a wood burning stove, gather all of the half burned sinders and charcoal and mix it in with your garden soil and other things like compost and dig it all in and you will get the very best vedgetable like we have here in our allotment. In the Amazor jungle area the native tribes grew the most food per square meter than any other soil because of previous flash forset fires, when whole swathes of forest were burned out, thus enriching the soil and capturing and storing the Co2. Right now we are at the lowest ebb in global history of Co2 and are actually starving or would be if we did not use ammonium nitrates and other artificial fertilisers due to Co2 being very rare indeed, if we had more Co2 we would be able to eventually phase out the manmade fertilizers completely, so we need an awful lot more of it. As the climate warms it enables more areas of land that are currently under ice or permafrost which makes up a huge area on the planet, Siberia being one area which could grow as much or more food than we see today. The higher mountain pastures would also come back to life earlier as the glaciers walk backwards, simply witness the planet coming back to life in places like Canada and Alaska where there was once ice now the tree line advances accordingly. Some of the highest rainfall is to be found in areas where there is no glaciers like the English Lake District/Ravenglass so the argument we won't have any is moot, all you need is mountains, and also look at where the clouds are formed from oceans which evapourate leaving behind the salt. There is so much BS about this Co2 science I don't even know where to begin. |
