Jesus spoke to a Samaritan woman at a well, when his disciples arrived back to the scene, they were surprised that he as a Jew was speaking with a Samaritan and that it was a woman. They said nothing though, Jesus went on to reveal that he was the Messiah and what would become the true worship of God. *[[Joh 4:19]] KJV* The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. *[[Joh 4:20]] KJV* Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. *[[Joh 4:21]] KJV* Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. *[[Joh 4:22]] KJV* Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. *[[Joh 4:23]] KJV* But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. *[[Joh 4:24]] KJV* God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Paul the Apostle said *[[1Co 14:14]] KJV* For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. *[[1Co 14:15]] KJV* What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. This is what I myself do.
