MI5, North Wales, Scallywag
MI5 and the North Wales children's homes

On 1 March 1998, a correspondent named 'Anthony' posted to a public Google group that Scallywag had - on an unspecified date - implicated MI5 in the North Wales child abuse scandal. It is unconfirmed whether Scallywag made the allegation that 'Anthony' attributes to it, or whether it was a different publication, possibly referring instead to the former Kincora Boys' Home in Belfast:

"Scallywag alleged that MI5 used to take foreign diplomats etc to the North Wales homes, give them boys to 'play' with, secretly filmed them as they buggered, abused and tortured boys then kept the tapes as evidence."
