NSPCC Chronology
1963
Rolf Harris appeared in films in 1963 and 1973 promoting the NSPCC League of Pity. Reportedly Harris was friends with Jimmy Savile and the pair "watched vulnerable Broadmoor patients undress together".
1985
Longtime NSPCC supporter Floella Benjamin joins Ghislaine Maxwell in hosting a 'Happy Family Disney Day' to benefit Save the Children. The event at Longleat House, the home of Lord and Lady Bath, was sponsored by the Daily Mirror, then owned by Robert Maxwell. Floella Benjamin would at a later time (2005) be inducted into the NSPCC's Hall of Fame. A pendant routinely worn by Benjamin closely matches a symbol used by paedophiles to communicate their 'preference' and known to the FBI.
1987
Wafic and Rosemary Said take part in an NSPCC event: 'Leila's Evening for Charity', on June 8, 1987. The Saids appear in the Black Book of Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.
Wafic Said has been a director of the British Syrian Society, together with former Dolphin Square-resident Lord David Steel, Lord Henniker's son-in-law, and James Hervey-Bathurst, whose current wife, Lucy Manners, is the cousin of Ghislaine Maxwell's former lover David Manners - now the 11th Duke of Rutland.
Maxwell and David Manners reportedly had an affair in 1986. David Manners, who is now the 11th Duke of Rutland, is a friend and benefactor of alleged paedophile Harvey Proctor.
1990
On May 9 1990 Virginia Bottomley and Esther Rantzen together visit the Childline premises in London NW1. Virginia Bottomley is close to Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild (at the Economist Group) & Lord Mandelson (at The Friends of Arundells & The Ditchley Foundation) who are close friends of—respectively—Ghislaine Maxwell and the late Jeffrey Epstein.
1996
Rosemary Said (see above) attends the Goldilocks Fashion Show in aid of the NSPCC.
1999
Peter Mandelson and Prince Andrew become involved in the NSPCC's new 'Full Stop' campaign. Reportedly this is when the pair became known to each other.
2000
In October 2000 Lady Carole and Sir Anthony Bamford take part in a joint photo-shoot with Prince Andrew: the three of them brandishing an oversized cheque for £2 million payable to the NSPCC Full Stop Appeal. The Bamfords (Lady Carole and Sir Anthony; Alice and George) are listed in the Black Book of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Carole Bamford is friends with Mandelson. Ghislaine Maxwell is thought to be friends with Alice and George.
2000
In December 2000 Peter Mandelson and Prince Andrew were guests at the wedding of Sir Evelyn de Rothschild and Lynn Forester, a friend of Ghislaine Maxwell) at the Liberal Jewish synagogue in St John's Wood, North London. "Indeed, according to Mandelson's friends the Prince and the minister were invited to be witnesses at the ceremony".
Also in 2000, Naomi Campbell is the face of the NSPCC's 'Full Stop' television advertising campaign. The TV ads in which Campbell appears are supported by Visa. Campbell was reportedly friends with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein. Survivor Virginia Roberts-Giuffre has said of Campbell: "You saw me at your parties, you saw me in Epstein's homes, you saw me on the plane ... you watched me be abused. You saw me."
2003
The NSPCC establishes the Stop Organised Abuse Board. "Its aim is to raise the funds necessary to to pay for the NSPCC's 10 Specialist Investigations Services". The Board Members include Baroness Virginia Bottomley, Baroness Elizabeth Butler-Sloss, Michael Grade, Sir David Frost, Frederick Forsyth and others. Michael Grade has since admitted that he heard "rumours" about Jimmy Savile abusing children. Mr. Grade's company 'Gate Ventures' made loans to Ghislaine Maxwell's friend Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York. Esther Rantzen says that it was Grade's willingness to green-light Childwatch that ultimately led to the birth of ChildLine, now a component part of the NSPCC. Grade is close to Harvey Proctor, Cliff Richard and Daniel Janner. Mr. Grade attended Stowe School.
Separately, longtime NSPCC patrons Gerald and Gail Ronson attend a fundraising party on February 5 2003 in aid of the Old Vic to celebrate the appointment of alleged serial paedophile Kevin Spacey as artistic director. Gerald Ronson, who was a self-declared friend and admirer of the late serial paedophile Lord Janner, has been an NSPCC vice-president. Moreover, the Ronsons are listed in the Black Book of Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein. Ronson allegedly laundered money with Shirley Porter during the period in which Porter was Leader of Westminster City Council and the same Council was the ultimate landlord of Dolphin Square. In the early 1990s, several Tory councilmen who were then part of Porter's Tory contingent on Westminster City Council were accused by Scallywag magazine of being sexual predators.
2004
The 2004 Gala NSPCC Night at the Royal Albert Hall attracts VIP supporters including Ghislaine Maxwell, Daphne Guinness and Hugh Grant. Daphne Guinness's father Jonathan, 3rd Baron Moyne, was active in a ritual abuse network, or so Dr Joan Coleman was informed. Daphne Guinness knows Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild.
Ghislaine Maxwell was friends with Hugh Grant at Oxford. Maxwell also had details in her Black Book for Grant's former partner Elizabeth Hurley, whose later partner, Steve Bing, "knew Jeffrey Epstein". Hurley was previously a supporter of the NSPCC's Full Stop campaign. Interestingly, another of Hurley's close friends is the Duchess of Rutland, Emma Manners, who (together with her husband the Duke of Rutland) previously employed alleged serial paedophile Harvey Proctor, and continues to host Mr. Proctor as a lodger on the Belvoir Castle estate.
2005
In November the NSPCC inducts longtime supporter Floella Benjamin into its Hall of Fame. Benjamin has worked with Ghislaine Maxwell (see Benjamin's 1985 entry).
2006
ChildLine is merged into the NSPCC. From 2006–2018 Esther Rantzen served as a Trustee of the NSPCC (Honorary Member, 1989), as well as being President of ChildLine from 2006 to the present day (Chair, 1986–2006).
Also in 2006, it is reported that that health resort Champneys has become a patron of the NSPCC's Full Stop campaign after donating more than £100,000 to the charity. Champneys owners Dorothy and Stephen Purdew had a close friendship with Jimmy Savile, who abused a woman at the spa before the Purdews took it over. The Purdews built a wing named after and opened by Savile. The Purdews are also reportedly close friends with one of Jimmy Savile's friends and followers, Frank Bruno. Bruno recovered at Champneys from a reported mental breakdown after Uri Geller placed Bruno inside a pyramid in an apparently unsuccessful attempt to treat the boxer's mental health problems.
2009
Longtime NSPCC supporter Nick Mason of Pink Floyd attends the NSPCC's charity event launch of 'The Circuit' on May 28 2009.
2012
Former Crimewatch presenter Nick Ross sells his London home to the son of Wafic Said (see above). Nick Ross's wife, Sarah Caplin, co-founded ChildLine -- now part of the NSPCC -- with her friend Esther Rantzen. This begs a question: Did Wafic Said's family know Sarah Caplin and her husband Nick Ross prior to the 2012 home purchase, due to the involvement of both families in the NSPCC/Childline.
2013
Peter Wanless was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the NSPCC in June 2013. Wanless was formerly the Principal Private Secretary to Michael Portillo in 1992–1994 when Portillo was Chief Secretary to the Treasury. Mr Wanless continued to work for Portillo when Portillo was Secretary of State for Employment (1994–95).
In 1994 Scallywag magazine alleged that Michael Portillo:
- was present at an alleged 'paedophile party' that took place on November 14th 1992, in a flat in Dolphin Square assigned to Robert Banks MP. According to Scallywag, this and other residences within, and in close proximity to, Dolphin Square attracted the members of a 'VIP' paedophile ring comprising parliamentarians, their staff and political lobbyists. Scallywag separately alleged that it was simply "implausible" that Portillo did not know about the alleged paedophile ring, which reportedly received boys trafficked from locations including North Wales care homes run by John Allen.
- regularly dined in a restaurant at Dolphin Square with fellow Tory Peter Lilley, whom the magazine said was also present at the alleged November 14th paedophile party allegedly attended by Portillo and other high-ranking Conservatives, including Michael Brown MP, Derek Laud (both allegedly close associates of Portillo and Laud), Edward Leigh MP, Alistair Cooke (now Lord Lexden), Michael Brown MP, David Nicholson MP, an 'Ian Fipps' [sic] and Robert Banks MP.
- was a visitor to an address in Dolphin Square which was then being surveilled by HM Customs in connection with the alleged receipt of alleged child pornography from a company in Amsterdam owned by John Allen.
- had been secretly photographed (possibly unbeknownst to himself) in "explicit situations with a young boy".
- had remained friends with an alleged child rapist named Alan Beck since the pair were at Oxford together.
In 1994 Scallywag magazine alleged that Michael Portillo:

Separately in 2013, longtime NSPCC supporter Sir Rodney Walker buys Jimmy Savile's seaside Scarborough flat, ostensibly to be used "as a holiday home for his [i.e. Walker's] grandchildren'. Savile had reportedly bought the flat for his mother, Agnes, and kept it as a shrine to her after her death. Sir Rodney, "who owns a flat in the same block, was in the process of buying it when the scandal broke."
Separetly in 2013, NSPCC supporters Ghislaine Maxwell and Daphne Guinness attend the 2013 'La Dolce Vita' party at Stowe School. The headmaster of Stowe is Dr Anthony Wallersteiner, the son of one of the late Robert Maxwell's closest business associates, Kurt Waller
2014
Longtime NSPCC supporter Richard Branson is featured on the website of Ghislaine Maxwell's 'TerraMar' organisation. Branson was a "Founding Citizen" of what was a "fake charity slush fund for child victims of Maxwell and Epstein's trafficking operation". Branson's Neckar Island lies only some 30 miles from the island of Little St James where Epstein had a property, the location of much alleged sexual abuse of minors.
2015
Elizabeth Hurley attends the NSPCC Neo-Romantic Art Gala at Masterpiece London on June 30 2015.
2019
Longtime NSPCC supporter Annette 'Nettie' Mason shares 'car number 28' with her friend Ghislaine Maxwell to take part in the 'Cash and Rocket' charity motoring rally from London to Monaco. Annette's husband, Nick Mason of Pink Floyd, is also friends with Maxwell.
2020
Lady Clare Hazell-Iveagh, who reportedly worked for Ghislaine Maxwell and was close to Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein, resigns or is forced to resign as as President of the West Suffolk branch of the NSPCC.
