My guess is that this is a fantastic publicity stunt, that is all. What a great way to get the world talking about your company!
The images are fake, as in my experience and investigations are all images from 'space'
Today there has been an image doing the rounds supposedly captured by Amateur astronomers, which is simply a white dot on the middle of other white dots. As an Astrophotographer myself, I am telling you it is not the Tesla car, and even if it was, kit would be impossible to identify it as so.
The world though will continue to watch mouths open, lapping it up.
Very sad times.
I am aware, therefore I am.

I might be stupid (it’s a strong possibility) but don’t you need an atmosphere to hear the sound waves in space?

After watching the ISS Hoax videos on You Tube my views on what is real and what is not changed dramatically. When RT proudly shows the 'Badminton in Space' video I looked at it rather more closely than I usually do...and sure enough everything looked as dodgy as hell, and at the end I am sat there watching an astronuts necklace disappearing into his neck.
The CGI being used is state of the art, but the classic moment was when one of the US guys was chatting to a schoolchild and accidentally revealed that he was just down the road in Ohio. The look of panic on his face is priceless, and the rest of the crew are just stood there thinking 'did the idiot really just say that!'.
The mere fact that the inside of the ISS is the same size as the inside of the Vomit Comet, and all clips are made up of sub clips limited to how long it can create a gravity free environment make me wonder. The hairspray on the female astronuts is beyond belief, the harnesses are visible, and the CGI goes horribly wrong at times.
