Council of Europe: No compulsory vaccinations and no discrimination against the unvaccinated ...
On 27 January, the Council of Europe signed Resolution 2361, which states that vaccinations in EU Member States should not be mandatory. Furthermore, persons who have not been vaccinated may not be discriminated against in any way. This effectively stops the notion of "vaccine passports".
Council of Europe Resolution 2361 on vaccines:
7.3 with respect to ensuring high vaccine uptake:
7.3.1 ensure that citizens are informed that the vaccination is NOT mandatory and that no one is politically, socially, or otherwise pressured to get themselves vaccinated, if they do not wish to do so themselves;
7.3.2 ensure that no one is discriminated against for not having been vaccinated, due to possible health risks or not wanting to be vaccinated;

NB. This now brings into question about various companies, airlines and other bodies already suggesting that services will only be available to the vaccinated - this is now discriminatory. And anyone feeling coerced to have it with the threat given to losing their job, now can throw this paper in the faces of their employers!
The CoE is distinct and separate from the EU.
47 countries including all EU Member States are contracting parties to the CoE and the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
This is excellent news for people concerned about mandatory or coerced vaccination or discrimination on vaccination status.
As to worried UK Citizens in view of the fact that the UK has left the EU, be at peace, as the UK is included in the 47 Countries!
