Famous journalist Seymour Hersh has released a story on the US and Norway navies blowing up the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines on 26 September 2022, based on some anonymous source.
I have grown suspiscious of stories based on a single anonymous source, without any (real) inside information. Other than that the story contains at least 2 highly implausibel plot twists.

First of all, the bombs were supposedly placed during the NATO BALTOPS 22 exercise that ended roughly mid-June 2022. The Nord Stream pipelines exploded more than 3 months later!
They wouldn't wait 100 days after placing the explosives.

Flat out preposterous is the claim that because senile Joe on 7 February 2022, standing besides German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, said, “If Russia invades ... there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it”, they didn't have to tell US Congress anymore...

According to the source, some of the senior officials of the CIA determined that blowing up the pipeline “no longer could be considered a covert option because the President just announced that we knew how to do it.”

The plan to blow up Nord Stream 1 and 2 was suddenly downgraded from a covert operation requiring that Congress be informed to one that was deemed as a highly classified intelligence operation with U.S. military support. Under the law, the source explained, “There was no longer a legal requirement to report the operation to Congress. All they had to do now is just do it—but it still had to be secret. The Russians have superlative surveillance of the Baltic Sea.”

Besides that it doesn't make sense that the Kingdom of Norway would be involved, or why they would need the US to do this.
The Kingdoms of Denmark and Sweden were better located to place the bombs (Hersh mentions that these were informed, so no need to keep it secret?)...

As for what stories they (including Seymour Hersh) are trying to cover up, I find it suspicious that so many of the deep staters that I've posted about in control of the Biden administration, are mentioned.
