Mask Wearing
‘Indian variant’ card keeps on giving: Children Told They Must Continue to Wear Face Masks in Classrooms by Local Authorities in Blackburn and Darwen, Bolton, Lancashire and Sefton

The Indian variant has been used to justify the Government U-turning on ending mask-wearing in the classroom, with schools in areas where the strain is more dominant having been told by the local authorities to keep to the mask mandate in place. The Telegraph has the story.
Whitehall officials have agreed with directors of public health at Blackburn and Darwen, Bolton, Lancashire and Sefton councils that masks should continue to be worn in lessons and corridors.
It comes amid rising concern about a surge in the Indian variant of Covid, which early data suggests could be more transmissible than other variants.
The Prime Minister announced at the start of last week that from May 17th, secondary pupils would no longer be required to wear face masks during the school day.
But the Telegraph understands that by Friday evening, deals had been struck with several local councils to extend the use of masks in the classroom.
A Government spokesperson said: “The Prime Minister has set out the measures needed to tackle the new variant of concern. In line with our plans published earlier this week to address variants of concern in education, we have also agreed with Directors of Public Health that face coverings will remain in place in Blackburn with Darwen, Bolton, Lancashire and Sefton. We are continuing to work closely with local authorities in these areas.”
The Department for Education (DfE) issued guidance last week which said schools should not seek to implement “restrictive measures” without the “explicit approval” of ministers.
Officials insisted that the national guidance remains that face masks are no longer needed for children while they are at school.
But they added that directors of public health at a handful of local councils and borough councils have been given explicit permission by the Government to advise schools that face masks must be worn at all times when indoors if it is not possible to socially distance.
Other schools have decided to continue instructing children to wear face masks in the classroom without approval from local directors of public health, despite the DfE sayings schools shouldn’t be doing so.

Black face fungus is caused by mask-wearing – Coleman

Doctors and journalists all over the world are creating panic over the fungal infections currently alleged to be affecting people in India. It is claimed by some that the fungal infections are a new symptom of covid-19.
Others say the fungal infections are caused by the over-prescribing of steroids for covid-19.
And yet more blame diabetes mellitus. Both of these may contribute to the fungal problem but I do not believe they are the sole or even the main cause. I believe this is yet more scare mongering designed to encourage people to accept one of the experimental pseudo-vaccines.
The alleged epidemic of fungal infections is caused by mask wearing. The problem is particularly prevalent in India where poor people cannot afford to buy new masks on a regular basis, thus the same mask is being worn again and again. Also, the hot weather, which increases sweating, exacerbates fungal infections in those wearing face masks.
I warned that this would happen nine months ago.
Fungi love dark, moist areas. That’s why fungi can grow in damp houses – particularly in bathrooms. Fungal infections grow in skin folds where there is little light but a good deal of moisture. Mushrooms grow in moist areas.
There are millions of types of fungi and more than one type can grow on the skin. When a mask is worn for more than two hours or so there is a huge risk that fungal growths will develop and will affect the skin, the nose, the mouth and the lungs.
The authorities don’t like to admit it but the fungal infections now affecting so many people are caused by the masks they are wearing. And, of course, masks are damaging immune systems – which increases susceptibility to all types of infection (bacterial and fungal in particular). Added to this, lockdowns and the covid ‘vaccine’ may also damage the immune system, leaving people susceptible to fungal infections and complications caused by fungal infections.

Fauci Privately Advised Obama Staffers To NOT Wear Masks: ‘Not Effective’...

Sylvia:
Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection. The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through the material. It might, however, provide some slight benefit in keep out gross droplets if someone coughs or sneezes on you. I do not recommend that you wear a mask, particularly since you are going to a vey low risk location. Your instincts are correct, money is best spent on medical countermeasures such as diagnostics and vaccines.
Safe travels.
Best regards,
Tony

WHO Declares Mask And Social Distancing Policies To Continue Indefinitely

A top WHO official says that mask mandates and social distancing should continue indefinitely in order to protect against new variants of COVID-19.
The comments were made on Sky News by Special Envoy on Covid for the World Health Organisation (WHO). Dr David Nabarro.
Nabarro suggested that there would be a long list of mutations of the Indian variant which would in some cases evade the protection offered by vaccines.
“We will go from Delta to Lambda and then on to the other Greek letters, that’s inevitable, and some of these variants will be troublesome,” he said.
“I’m basically saying variants are going to go on coming. That’s part of life, we need to pick them up fast, we need to move quickly if we see them in a certain location, we need to build the management of variants into what we call our Covid-ready strategy, which is going to be the pattern for the foreseeable future,” he added.
According to Nabarro, mask mandates and social distancing need to remain in place for the foreseeable future “as part of our defence” against COVID, particularly in regions which have high infection rates.
As we highlighted earlier, England is set to drop all face mask rules on July 19 after it was revealed that they were having a massive negative impact on businesses and wiping billions off the economy.
Several government advisers have called for coronavirus restrictions to continue forever, not just to defend against COVID, but also to fight influenza.
Former Communist Party member and SAGE adviser Susan Michie said earlier this month that mask mandates and social distancing should continue “forever” and that people should adopt such behaviour just as they did with wearing seatbelts.

Health minister sparks row after claiming face masks only offer ‘marginal’ benefit in ‘Covid’ fight – make that NO EFFECT in the interests of accuracy

A health minister sparked a row in the House of Lords yesterday after he questioned the effectiveness of masks at preventing Covid.
Lord Bethell said face coverings offered only ‘marginal protection’ when questioned over Government plans to lift the remaining coronavirus restrictions in England on July 19.
The move has faced criticism from more than 120 scientists and doctors who signed a letter in The Lancet accusing the UK Government of conducting a ‘dangerous and unethical experiment’.
Were the whole country to wear a mask for the rest of their lives we would still have pandemics, because they only offer marginal protection.’
But Liberal Democrat peer Lord Oates said: ‘Is the minister aware the comments he just made are not just nonsense, they are dangerous nonsense and will he withdraw them?’

There were a great many Refusers of Mask Wearing, even during WW2:

But this is a very interesting article on WW2 Gas Masks and their Asbestos Content..!

In 1938, in anticipation of World War II, 35 million gas masks were issued to Britain's Civilian Population. Over the next few weeks 38 million gas masks were distributed to regional centres.

The government also issued a warning that people must go to their nearest air raid shelter during bombing attacks:
"If poison gas has been used, you will be warned by means of hand rattles. If you hear hand rattles do not leave your shelter until the poison gas has been cleared away. Hand bells will tell you when there is no longer any danger from poison gas."

Adult gas masks were black whereas children had 'Micky Mouse' masks with red rubber pieces and bright eye piece rims.
There were also gas helmets for babies into which mothers would have to pump air with a bellows. People carried their gas masks in cardboard cases for many months.

People were encouraged to wear gas-masks for 15 minutes a day to get used to the experience. The government threatened to punish people for not carrying gas masks. However, legislation was never passed to make it illegal. The government published posters that said: "Hitler will send no warning - so always carry your gas mask".

Government advertisements appeared in newspapers pleading with people to carry their gas masks with them at all times. Teachers were instructed to send children back home to fetch their masks if they had forgotten them. Entry was occasionally refused to restaurants, or places of entertainment, to patrons who were without their survival kit.

John Lewis, the department store, reminded staff that "those who come without their gas mask must not be surprised if they are dismissed as unsuitable in time of war".

Gas masks were neither easy nor comfortable to wear. The gas-like odour of rubber and disinfectant made many people feel sick. One child wrote: "Although I could breathe in it. I felt as if I couldn't. It didn't seem possible that enough air was coming through the filter.

The covering over my face, the cloudy Perspex in front of my eyes, and the overpowering smell of rubber, made me feel slightly panicky, though I still laughed each time I breathed out, and the edges of the mask blew a gentle raspberry against my cheeks.
The moment you put it on, the window misted up, blinding you. Our mums were told to rub soap on the inside of the window, to prevent this. It made it harder to see than ever, and you got soap in your eyes.

There was a rubber washer under your chin, that flipped up and hit you, every time you breathed in... The bottom of the mask soon filled up with spit, and your face got so hot and sweaty you could have screamed."

H. G. Wells, the famous novelist, and Kingsley Martin, the editor of The New Statesman, both wrote articles claiming they were unwilling to carry gas masks.

A study at the beginning of the war suggested that only about 75 per cent of people in London were obeying government instructions regarding gas masks.

By the beginning of 1940 almost no one bothered to carry their gas mask with them. The government now announced that Air Raid Wardens would be carrying out monthly inspections of gas masks. If a person was found to have lost the gas mask they were forced to pay for its replacement.

All sorts of emergency measures were being taken by the Government to prepare the people for war. Thousands lined up patiently to be measured for gas-masks, only to find out that because of the haste with which the masks were manufactured the parts which were supposed to intercept gas had been inadvertently left out.

Both sides did not use chemical weapons during the war but a few years later the authorities began to have worries about the British gas masks that were produced by Baxters of Blackburn.
Graphene face masks dangerous; and we’re living in a graphene world -

Graphenea.com [1]: “Graphene — What Is It? …Graphene is the thinnest compound known to man at one atom thick, the lightest material known… the strongest compound [ever] discovered… the best conductor of heat at room temperature [2]… the best conductor of electricity known… potentially an eco-friendly, sustainable solution for an almost limitless number of applications. Since the discovery…of graphene, applications within different scientific disciplines have exploded, with huge gains being made particularly in high-frequency electronics, bio, chemical and magnetic sensors, ultra-wide bandwidth photodetectors, and energy storage and generation.”

Wales will keep mask laws: Ludicrous Mark Drakeford confirms he will copy Scotland’s ludicrous Nicola Sturgeon and retain face covering rules that are so dangerous to health and useless in stopping a ‘virus’. It’s all about psychological control, but psychological has far too many syllables for either of these brainless dictators

Wales will follow Scotland and keep mask-wearing laws in place after almost all other lockdown rules are scrapped, it was confirmed today.
First Minister Mark Drakeford confirmed it would remain mandatory to wear a face covering on public transport and in most indoor settings after the country moves to Level 0 next month.
His remarks will heap pressure on Boris Johnson, who has made the wearing of masks discretionary in England from Monday.
Nicola Sturgeon confirmed masks would stay in Scotland yesterday as she accused the PM of acting to avoid a clash with his lockdown-sceptic backbenchers.
London mayor Sadiq Khan has also moved to keep them compulsory on public transport in the capital.
Mr Drakeford said today that Wales will move fully into alert Level 1 from July 17 – following a four-week pause due to the rise of the Delta variant. If infection rates then remain stable and even more people are vaccinated, Wales will move to Level 0 on August 7.
‘The virus is still with us and we know many people are still anxious about going out and about,’ Mr Drakeford said.
‘Social distancing requirements and mask rules will remain indoors from 17 July. But we will gradually ease masks as the public health risk decreases.’
From July 17, up to six people can meet indoors in private homes and holiday accommodation, organised indoor events can take place for up to 1,000 people seated and up to 200 standing, and ice rinks can reopen.
