Unvaccinated people in Wales should not be allowed in pubs or on holiday says idiot doctor

Those in Wales who’ve not been jabbed should face being banned from going abroad or visiting pubs if Covid numbers continue to rise, one GP has recommended.
Speaking as the nation’s infection rates reach their highest levels since January, Dr Mair Williams said rules were needed to encourage people to get a vaccination.
Dr Williams, who works at a practice in Skewen, said people not getting vaccinated were “the biggest problem” and the only way to bring down the figures would be to “restrict” what unvaccinated people are able to do.
“They cannot go to pubs and restaurants with other people,” she told BBC Wales.
“And they cannot go on holiday because of the risk of infection, and also maybe not go into the workplace as well – to work at home. “I think you have to do that to stop this virus spreading any further.”
Neath Port Talbot, where Dr Williams’ practise is located, currently has Wales’ highest case rates – along with neighbouring Swansea – and the local health board there said 80 cases had been tracked to people going out to “pubs, nightclubs and celebration venues.”
Almost all coronavirus rules in Wales were eased from Saturday, August 7 and First Minister Mark Drakeford confirmed last night that no significant changes would be made to that decision, but warned that the “public health position is worse than it was three weeks ago”.

The same doctor got ‘swine flu’ in 2009
A GP suffering from swine flu in Wales has been named as Dr Eleanor Mair Williams.
The National Public Health Service for Wales (NPHS) took the unusual step of identifying Dr Williams over the weekend amid concerns that patients may not visit their GP if they suffer similar symptoms.
Dr Williams is a partner at Skewen Surgery and became ill while on holiday in the US. She is Wales’ second confirmed case of swine flu.
The surgery, in Tabernacle Street, has been declared safe for patients – 15 visitors and four staff are among the 21 close contacts who have been offered antiviral medicine to stop them becoming ill. Dr Williams, 66, has also been offered antiviral medicines and advised to stay at home until fully recovered.
She said: “I am reassured that public health action has been taken to ensure the safety of my patients. “I am recovering from a mild bout of flu and will only return to work when I am completely well and have completed the five days of treatment.”
Dr Jörg Hoffmann, a consultant in communicable disease control for the NPHS, said, “All necessary action has been taken to make sure it is safe to visit the Skewen Surgery without risk of catching swine flu.

A confused little girl sat in her father’s arms as he was berated by two police officers for not wearing a mask in a Covid hotspot.
But he was unable to comfort her as he was handcuffed with his arms behind his back, sprawled on the ground in a park in south-west Sydney.
The distressed father, 31, had been stopped by police on a walking path in Garrison Point Reserve, in George’s Hall, about 2.20pm on Saturday.
Police alleged he became verbally abusive and aggressive toward the officers when they spoke to him about not wearing a mask.
‘Officers warned the man on multiple occasions about his conduct before he was arrested,’ NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia.
The incident comes as New South Wales declared 1,290 new cases – the majority of Australia’s record 1,355 cases reported on Monday – as the nation struggles to contain the highly contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus.
Officials warned on Monday that the state – the epicentre of its current COVID-19 outbreak, will hit a peak in intensive care hospitalisations in October as cases accumulate, amid reporting the record daily rise in new infections.

House of Lords Member Asked Why Brits Are Forced to Take PCR ‘Covid’ Tests on Returning to UK But Illegal Migrants Aren’t

A member of the House of Lords is demanding to know why Brits returning to the UK from abroad are required to take several PCR COVID tests even if fully vaccinated while illegal migrants, the vast majority of whom are unvaccinated, don’t have to take a PCR test at all.
Under the current system, UK citizens returning from countries on the ‘amber list’ – which includes numerous popular holiday destinations – are forced to take multiple PCR tests at their own cost to prove they are not carrying the virus, even if they have been double jabbed.
Illegal migrants arriving via boat from France however are not subjected to any PCR testing, despite the UK government footing the bill for their rescue and to put them up in four star hotels.
British politician and peer Richard Balfe wrote to the Daily Skeptic pointing out the anomaly, which was highlighted by the response he received to his Parliamentary question from a Home Office minister.

Also, HMG is quoting as its source for advice Public Health England – the same people quoted by HMG as advising business people and holidaymakers that lateral flow tests are not a satisfactory safeguard.

Anti-vaxxers boycott Morrisons after supermarket says it will cut sick pay for unvaccinated staff

Anti-vaxxers have said they will boycott Morrisons after it announced it would cut sick pay for unvaccinated staff.
The supermarket revealed it would cut payments to workers who had not received both jabs and had been advised to self-isolate over coronavirus.
A Morrisons spokesperson said: “From October 1, following Government confirmation that all adults have had the opportunity to get double vaccinated, we will no longer be paying full sick pay for pinged colleagues who have chosen not to be vaccinated.”
This has led to the hashtag #BoycottMorrisons trending on social media, with some people declaring they would no longer shop at the supermarket due to this policy.
But others who had been double-jabbed pushed back against those complaints and added shopping at the supermarket would now be safer without people who had not been fully vaccinated.
One person tweeted: “Anti vaxxers are going to #BoycottMorrisons apparently. Excellent. I’ll feel safer in there tomorrow evening when I do my shopping. Well done @Morrisons”
Another person added: “I’ll be doing all my shopping at Morrisons now the anti-vaxxers are going elsewhere to buy the tin foil for their hats.”
Morrisons chief executive David Potts hopes the new rules will help with the “biblical costs of managing Covid” and encourage more staff to be fully vaccinated, the Guardian reported.

A mass Covid booster vaccine campaign for tens of millions of Britons will be launched within days in a race to avoid a winter lockdown, it was announced today.
The Government’s vaccine advisory panel finally signed off on the plans after weeks of deliberation, with third doses now being recommended for roughly 30million over-50s, as well as frontline health and care workers.
Professor Jonathan Van-Tam told a Downing Street press conference that the programme would provide ‘very good’ immunity and help ‘keep the lid on’ the epidemic this winter.
People are only being invited to come forward if they had their second injection at least six months ago, which officials said was the ‘sweet spot’ for boosters.
The third doses will be rolled out to the top nine priority groups who were first in line during the initial Covid vaccination programme, with the elderly and vulnerable first in line. It took a little over three months to cover those groups with a first dose earlier this year but officials expect the booster scheme to quicker now because the infrastructure and expertise is already in place.
Members of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) approved the plans on the back of growing real-world data in Israel and elsewhere, as well as a major British study, which showed vaccine-induced immunity wanes slightly within months.
Britons who are eligible will be given the Pfizer vaccine in the first instance, no matter which jab they were originally immunised with. When there are supply constraints, the Moderna vaccine will be offered as a booster, but only as a half dose. Officials said there was more evidence that the mRNA vaccines were safe and effective when given as a third dose, which is why they are not recommending AstraZeneca’s. Moderna’s is being given as a half dose because the lower dosage is associated with fewer side effects and still produces a strong immune response, the JCVI said.
Professor Van-Tam said that as a 57-year-old healthcare worker, who will be eligible for a booster vaccine, he would be ‘content’ with getting a full Pfizer or half Moderna dose.

More than half of Britons suffering from ‘long Covid’ might not actually have it (god, I’m shocked, try NONE and I will not be shocked)

More than half of people suffering from long Covid may not have the condition and may just be suffering from normal bouts of ill health, research from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) suggests.
The ONS surveyed nearly 27,000 people, who tested positive for Covid, in the UK Coronavirus Infection Survey and used three different methods to estimate the prevalence of long Covid.
In one analysis, they found that five per cent reported at least one symptom 12 to 16 weeks after their infection.
However, the study also found that 3.4 per cent of people who had not been diagnosed with Covid also reported the same long Covid symptoms.
Kevin McConway, emeritus professor of applied statistics at The Open University, said: “That’s not all that much less than the 5.0 per cent for the infected people, which does show that having one or more of these symptoms isn’t uncommon regardless of Covid-19.”
Normal ailments or long Covid?
Long Covid symptoms are fever, headache, muscle ache, weakness/tiredness, nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste and loss of smell.
However, the ONS said that such conditions were experienced regularly within the general population.

Lunatics in New Zealand may start administering vaccines to people as they wait in queues for fast food

In a win-win, delicious incentive for all, New Zealand may soon allow people to pick up their fast food order and get a Covid-19 jab alongside as the country increases efforts to vaccinate its population.
Deputy prime minister Grant Robertson confirmed that the administration was eyeing “takeaway fix” as one of its strategies to reach as many people as possible.
“There’s been discussions about that under level-3 [lockdown], we know Aucklanders are going to be excited about getting their takeaway fix… that could be used as a possibility,” Mr Robertson told Radio New Zealand.
It will soon be a reality once the logistics are in place, the minister said.
“There’s a few logistics to work through, one of which is obviously making sure that people wait,” Mr Robertson said. “When someone gets the vaccines, as you know you wait in the waiting room to make sure everything’s going okay.”
But, he added: “Just getting the logistics of it right and a queue with fast food can be a little bit challenging but we are looking through options and not just fast food but in other places people would be going.”
Prime minister Jacinda Ardern said vaccinations were the “golden ticket” to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic in the island nation.
New Zealand should aim for a vaccination rate of at least 90 per cent, Ms Ardern said. “If that rate [of vaccinations] is high enough, then we will be able to move away from lockdowns as a tool.”

Meanwhile another reportedly believes the anti-vaxxer ‘conspiracy theories’ about the jab.
The rest of the players are understood to have been ‘pressured’ not to get the jab by their wives or girlfriends who are against the vaccine.
It will come as a huge blow for England boss Gareth Southgate as World Cup organisers plan to ban all unvaccinated players from Qatar next year.
The Premier League is also struggling to clamp down on stars not taking the vaccine, with almost two-thirds of top-flight players yet to be fully jabbed and many refusing altogether.
Club officials are complaining dressing rooms have been ‘polluted’ by senior players spreading conspiracy theories involving Bill Gates, infertility and the power of vitamins.
But on Thursday night the league received reassurances from the Government that unvaccinated players will remain available for selection if Covid passports are made compulsory at mass events.
Former footballers weighed in on the issue and openly argued on social media over whether vaccines should be forced on stars.

Jurgen Klopp has compared the Covid anti-vaccination lobby to drunk drivers – whose choices endanger the lives of others. The Liverpool manager says his squad are 99 per cent double-vaccinated, including himself and his staff, and that he did not have to persuade his players who made “a natural decision” to get the two doses of the vaccine.
Klopp has been clear about the importance of taking medical advice when it comes to Covid and listening to the views of specialists in the field.
“Where did I get the knowledge that I think it makes sense to get the vaccine? I called doctors that I’ve known for years and I asked them, ‘What should I do?’” said Klopp, whose side face Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday. “That’s how I usually work.
“When you don’t know about something, you call a specialist and the specialist tells you, ‘From my point of view, I would tell you this or that’.
“That’s why I took the vaccination. I am in an age group where … the virus could be tricky, and I was really happy when I could get it [the vaccine].
