UK government Identity document: Validation technology in the right to work and right to rent schemes

The Home Office and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) are working with DCMS as it develops proposals for new legislation to establish a UK Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework. This framework will set out the rules and standards for organisations to follow in order to carry out secure, trustworthy, and consistent digital identity checks.
The trust framework was initially launched in February 2021 as an early prototype (alpha). It has since undergone two rounds of public consultation, to be thoroughly tested with services, industries, organisations and released to potential users. The framework continues to be developed and the next stage (beta version) will begin in early 2022, ahead of being formalised in legislation.
Following the positive feedback received about the ability to conduct right to work and right to rent checks remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Home Office initiated a review of the availability of specialist technology to support a system of digital checks in the future.
This review has now concluded, and this update sets out the key outcomes.
The Home Office recognises the benefits the adjusted checking process has brought and are mindful of the shift towards increased hybrid and remote working models.
As a result, the Home Office will enable employers and landlords to use certified Identification Document Validation Technology (IDVT) service providers to carry out digital identity checks on their behalf for many who are not in scope to use the Home Office online services, including British and Irish citizens. The relevant changes to legislation will take effect from 6 April 2022.
This development will align with DBS’ proposal to enable digital identity checking within their pre-employment checking process, through the introduction of its Identity Trust Scheme.
For employers, the introduction of digital identity checking into the Schemes will mean they can assure prospective employees’ identities, using consistent and more secure methods, reducing risk and allowing them to recruit in a safer way.

The Electric Frontier Foundation says of Internet surveillance:
There are almost no restrictions on what can be collected and how it can be used, provided a company can claim it was motivated by ‘cybersecurity purposes’. That means a company like Google, Facebook, Twitter, or AT& T could intercept your emails and text messages, send copies to one another and to the government, and modify those communications or prevent them from reaching their destination if it fits into their plan to stop cybersecurity threats.

Revelations about the extraordinary surveillance reach and capabilities of the United States National Security Agency (NSA) don’t even begin to tell the story of the scale of surveillance to which the population is now subjected with so much more to come. Britain’s GCHQ surveillance operation is just the same or worse.

American Edward Snowden, who worked for a company contracted to the NSA, went public in 2013 to reveal the astonishing scale of surveillance on the public by these agencies. He fled to Russia and was charged by the Obama administration under the Espionage Act which had only been used to prosecute government-connected officials three times since 1917 before Obama began to use it as a tool for punishing and silencing those who sought to expose what they know about government and intelligence corruption and the scale already of the Big Brother State.

These spook agencies are monitoring all Internet traffic and the NSA opened a facility in Utah in 2014 at a cost of $ 1.5 billion to process global information from multiple sources. The Center is said to process ‘all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Internet searches, as well as all types of personal data trails – parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital “pocket litter”.’ This doesn’t mean that everyone is watched every day in what they call ‘real time’ though targeted people will be, but they can access any information they want about your movements, statements and activities whenever they like. 

Snowden revealed that the authorities can switch on your smartphone at a distance and turn on the microphone even when the phone is turned off. This may sound outrageous, but what they are planning is far more extreme.

There are traffic cameras recording number plates that can also be read from satellite. Smart meters in homes and businesses using wireless technology can tell the authorities how many people you have in your home and what rooms they’re in, or even when you open the fridge. Even gaming technology like the X-box is able to hear conversations and see through clothing. 

Microchipped people are now a reality. The plan is to extend this to everyone by first selling microchips as ‘cool’, then making it ever more difficult to function and deal with money without one and finally making them compulsory.

Here is an interesting item that has some possibilities for watching what people are doing at home, not just by logging your internet useage but by watching live.

It comes in the form of LiFi which is technology that works using the IR spectrum, LiFi Max uses a dongle that is normally fitted in the ceiling and uploads and downloads via LED's.

It is known that an LED can also be used as a lens for seeing, if they have managed to make this work they will be able to map the whole room the dongle is fitted inside.

Here is a video which explains how the technology is going to be fitted into all mobile phones in the near future.

Yes, this Lifi technology sounds really exciting with the added bonus of being safe (Wi-Fi free) as opposed to the new controversial 5G technology which has potentially catastrophic health consequences, as pointed out by authors such as Arthur Firstenberg in his book ‘The Invisible Rainbow’.  It’s envisaged as being available by 2024, so not too long to wait. As with all technologies, it is imperative that it’s put to ethical use and for the good of mankind/humanity.

I’m also wondering whether Lifi will be used in conjunction with quantum technology such as the imminent launch of the Q phone and the new QFS - Quantum Financial System. We’ll have to see.

All New Cars Sold in Cult-Created Fascist EU to Be Fitted With Data Recording ‘Black Box’

Starting this summer, all new cars sold in the EU will by law contain a ‘black box’ accessible by authorities that records driving data.
From July 6, 2022, all car manufacturers will be forced to fit new models with a system that keeps track of technical data.
The data recorded will include “the vehicle’s speed, braking, steering wheel angle, its incline on the road, and whether the vehicle’s various safety systems were in operation, starting with seatbelts.”
“The new system will coincide with the introduction of Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) systems, which will warn drivers when they breach the speed limit,” reports Reclaim the Net. “However, the ISA systems should not prevent the driver from actually breaking the speed limit.”
The system, which will be accessible to law enforcement but not insurance companies, will also be able to catalogue the exact type of vehicle and send the information to manufacturers after an accident.
Authorities claim the data will be “anonymized,” meaning the information can’t be used to identify the owner of the vehicle, although only the incredibly naive would plausibly believe that.
For decades, government have been pushing for all cars to be fitted with black boxes that track location data.

Co-op supermarkets are using facial recognition cameras made by Chinese state-owned company ‘to track its shoppers’

Co-op supermarkets are using facial recognition cameras made by a Chinese state-owned company to track its shoppers, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.
The ethical food retailer is using Hikvision’s live facial recognition technology to monitor customers.
Hikvision cameras have been listed as a national security threat in the US while the UK’s Ministry of Defence has issued guidance not to use the company’s equipment.
And the firm has been blacklisted by US authorities over links to human rights abuses against Muslim Uighurs in China while MPs have called for a UK-wide ban.
But at Southern Co-op bosses have rolled out facial recognition technology across 35 stores in the south of England.
An investigation by video surveillance researchers at IPVM, and passed to the Mail on Sunday, found that all nine stores out of the 35 it investigated used Hikvision facial recognition devices.
Live facial recognition is used by Co-op at stores in Southampton, Portsmouth, West London, Bristol and Chichester.
The supermarket’s system is provided by Facewatch, a live facial recognition company which says it helps retailers catch shoplifters and violent customers.
Facewatch says it keeps a database of the faces of ‘subjects of interest’ for two years, though facial recognition technology is known to return large numbers of false matches.

DHS Coordinated with Chinese Drone Company to Create the First Totally Surveilled City in America

Inside San Diego’s metropolitan area, the second largest city, home to some 275,000 residents, has made the history books. Chula Vista hasn’t cured cancer or discovered perpetual energy; instead, their mark on history will be a dark one as they become the first city in America to be completely monitored by spy drones.
“On a per capita basis, they’re probably the most or one of the most surveilled cities in the country,” said Brian Hofer, executive director of the Oakland-based privacy advocacy group Secure Justice. “Pretty much the minute you walk outside your front door and move about your daily life, you’re going to be tagged and tracked by some law enforcement agency, even though you’ve likely never been suspected of any wrongdoing.”
Chula Vista’s drone program didn’t come to fruition overnight. Instead, the Department of Homeland Security and other government agencies coordinated with with Chinese drone manufacturers and unscrupulous actors in Big Tech and have implemented the program over the course of several years.
“The City of San Diego’s Homeland Security Department is collaborating with more than 20 regional organizations to implement the IPP. In addition to EDC, partners include: City of Chula Vista, Cape, AirMap, Qualcomm, AT&T, California Governor’s Military Council, California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GoBiz), Uber, UC San Diego Health, Intel, GE Ventures, and others,” the city announced in 2018.
In 2020, as fearful citizens begged the government for safety that never came, they willingly accepted this egregious invasion of privacy.
The Free Thought Project reported on this problem in 2020 and since then it has gotten much worse. Just like the Chinese authorities, police in California equipped the drones with speakers to tell people what to do during the pandemic.
