Water meters should be compulsory and bills should rise, says latest buffoon Environment Agency boss

Water meters should be made compulsory and bills should rise to help households cut their use and tackle looming supply shortages, the new chair of the Environment Agency (EA) has said.
Alan Lovell, who took up the role last month, said households use “too much water” and metering was necessary to encourage them to cut use by around a quarter.
“I think that metering should be mandatory where it can be,” he told a parliamentary committee on water industry regulation. “It’s not quite as simple as it sounds because in some apartment blocks it’s difficult to do it. But where it can be, I think it should be.”
The EA has warned that parts of England could run dry within 25 years because of a combination of climate change and population growth.
Currently, only water companies in areas that are classed as being under serious water stress can roll out compulsory metering in their area, and they must show there is customer support, it is cost-effective to do so, and they have considered other options.
In those areas, households cannot refuse to have a meter installed, although switching from a flat rate can increase bills in larger households, particularly if they have more people than bedrooms.

How Businesses are softening up the Public for a Chinese-Style Social Credit System

In a truly remarkable and brazen gaslighting of individual rights and freedoms, ABC Finance Limited conducted a survey asking how Brits viewed the idea of social credit scoring. It’s not clear when this survey was conducted but from the wording, it would appear it was conducted before 2020.
For anyone who has been following the true nature of events over the past few years, it comes as no surprise that financial institutions are ahead of the pack when it comes to an attempt to control people and their behaviour through money, even though it is our earnings which these institutions are using as the tool against us.
As our regular readers will be aware, they are using covert forms of a social credit system in their never-ending attempt to shut The Exposé down.
The latest attempt was last weekend. The Exposé’s account was frozen and the donations in the account were “temporarily” blocked.
What “temporarily” practically means is not clear. But not allowing access to one’s own funds is tantamount to theft.
It also demonstrates that the social credit system is already here and ready to be rolled out.
All that is now required is public acceptance, whether that be through indoctrination that this is “for the common good” or creating the illusion it is inevitable and so cannot be stopped.
Neither is true. We must not let these control freaks take control of our lives. We must resist in every way we can.
A Psychological Operation to Get the Public Used to the Idea of a Social Credit Score
ABC Finance is a privately owned company established in 2000 and based in Staffordshire, UK. It arranges property finance for commercial and residential property. With less than 10 employees it boasts a focus on a “family business mentality of caring” for its customers. Most would argue that the removal of all rights and freedoms through a Chinese-style social credit score is not a “mentality of caring.” But from the appearance of their survey, ‘Is the UK Ready for a Social Credit System?’, this seems to be what they are promoting.
We’re all familiar with ‘credit scores’, where financial institutions track how responsible you are with your hard-earned money to assign you a value determining the loans and cards you are eligible to apply for.
However, a new scoring system being trialled in China (set to become standard practice by 2020) and currently under consideration in Europe is far less discussed despite the fact it may eventually become an integral part of our day-to-day lives.
Surviving The Social Credit Score, ABC Finance Limited, Unknown Date
“Set to become standard practice by 2020” implies this survey was done before 2020, at a time when even the UK government appeared to value individual rights and freedoms. How many of us were aware that a Chinese-style social credit system was under consideration in Europe before the implementation of the Covid arm of the Fourth Industrial Revolution?
ABC Finance goes on to tell us what plans were under consideration at that time:
This system monitors a lot more than your financial savviness. It involves governmental and financial institutions ranking your everyday behaviour – both online and via CCTV monitoring – and has been dubbed the “social credit score.”
Essentially, everything from the way you spend your money and behave on social media to the people you associate with would affect your score and whether you are rewarded or punished.
Surviving The Social Credit Score, ABC Finance Limited, Unknown Date
So, ABC Finance surveyed to gauge if the UK was ready for it, not to gauge whether the public agreed with it or not but on the basis that it was a fait accompli.

Ukrainian refugee reported mother who took her in to the POLICE for making her do the dishes – before detectives opened a ‘modern slavery’ investigation and grilled her for hours

An NHS mental health specialist who took in a Ukrainian refugee was reported for modern day slavery after she asked her guest to help out more with the dishes.
Hannah Debenham, 42, of Uckfield, East Sussex, was under investigation for two months following the accusation, before the case was dropped this week when no evidence was found.
The mother of two was asked to ‘voluntarily’ attend Eastbourne police station where she was questioned by a modern-day slavery inspector, which she branded ‘the worst experience of my life’. Officers also spent two hours at her home with her husband.
Detective Chief Inspector Gavin Patch, of Sussex Police, defended his force’s action today, telling MailOnline the investigation was ‘expedited as quickly as possible’, adding that it takes any report of slavery ‘very seriously’.
The refugee, a mother who cannot be named for legal reasons, complained to police that she was ‘expected to clear up and tidy up the house for little to no money under the disguise of the Ukrainian settlement scheme’, according to the police report.
Ms Debenham told MailOnline: ‘It was just devastating. We just wanted to help. If I was charged I would have had to declare that and it would have been a permanent impediment to my career.
‘They also spoke to my husband and told him that I could face life in prison if I was found guilty.
‘I’ve been an NHS mental health specialist for 15 years and I have often worked with people with severe mental illness supporting their needs in police custody, and this happening to me was the worst experience of my life.’

Last month, Yvonne Bailey realised that it had been three weeks since she had properly spoken to another human being. Once the 77-year-old has paid her bills, she has nothing left over from her pension credit for socialising.
To remedy her isolation the retired receptionist from Oxfordshire accepted an invitation from a friend for a coffee.
‘She paid, but I can’t do that very often because I can’t repay the favour,’ explains Yvonne. ‘A meal out or a trip to the cinema is out of the question. I have no choice but to avoid socialising. I hate it,’ Yvonne told Metro.co.uk.
‘What quality of life is it? Sometimes I sit here and cry.
‘Last week I heated the house twice for half an hour in the evening and I couldn’t believe it – it cost me £10,’ adds Yvonne, who is a widow. ‘I’m just wrapping up warm and wearing layers. I get so cold, I end up going to bed, which I have two duvets on.’
In constant pain from arthritis and fibromyalgia, she used to keep the heating on a low level. However, now unable to afford that, she wears a jacket inside, and relies on hot drinks and soup to stay warm.
‘When I think about, it makes me feel sick,’ admits Yvonne. ‘I get cold, my body seizes up and I end up in even more pain than I am in already.’

Bird flu: UK government scientists on standby to produce modelling for human outbreak of avian flu.’ Put through our Orwellian Translation Unit: UK Government liars on standby to produce shite-in-shite-out modelling to fit the agenda those that control the government require (see ‘Covid’)

The Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Modelling (SPI-M) is understood to be “standing ready” to produce forecasts on the impact of bird flu on humans in the event that the virus, which is rampant throughout poultry across the globe, mutates to become easily transmissible to humans. SPI-M is a sub-committee of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE), which has provided recommendations to the Government throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
One member of SAGE told i: “There is a need to model what impact an outbreak of avian flu would have on public health. “It is merely a precautionary measure as the risk of avian flu becoming easily transmissible to people remains low, but it is important we are prepared and I believe that is what the public would expect give the recent experience with Covid.”
Another scientific advisor to the Government added: “There is a lot going on behind the scenes gearing up for any possible avian flu issues.” It is understood the SPI-M committee would base its modelling on different levels of outbreak, from just a handful of human cases to a full-blown pandemic.

Britain braces for rolling power cuts: Arctic blast (and the deletion of fossil fuels) leaves households on the brink of outages and blackouts as officials blame Met Office for failing to predict the severity of our latest big freeze (caused by global warming). Amazing when they can predict the weather 50 years from now so accurately, eh?

Britain is facing the prospect of rolling power cuts, with the Met Office being blamed for not giving enough warning of the severe cold snap that has strained energy supplies.
Westminster insiders say that had experts predicted the big freeze early enough, officials could have stocked up with gas to meet demand.
And they questioned whether the Met Office’s work-from-home policy might have contributed to failings.
Independent energy analyst Tony Jordan agreed that forecasters had been caught ‘off-guard’, adding: ‘If you get weather forecasting wrong – especially during extreme conditions – it can be catastrophic.’

UK government obeys its Cult masters: Car journeys to be slashed and clamp down on parking spaces

he Government will slash the distance of car journeys and clamp down on parking spaces as part of its climate action plan, it is understood.
The plan, which will set out how the Government will achieve the agreed sectoral emissions targets and the overall target of a 51% reduction by 2030 and net zero by 2050, will be published on Wednesday.
The Cabinet will meet on Wednesday afternoon to sign off on the plan.
While it is understood there is no specific commitment to congestion charges within the plan, the Government is considering them as one of their options.
They would only be brought in where there are viable alternatives to cars, including good public transport and active travel.
The plan will encourage the public to take other forms of transport and reduce the use of and dependency on cars.
It will aim to reduce the total distance driven across all car journeys by 20%, and to have nearly one in three private cars as an electric vehicle by 2030.
The plan is also expected to recommend reducing public sector parking but will only apply where there is good public transport.
It is also expected to remove minimum car parking requirements but, again, only where there is good public transport.
The plan will also include a reduction of on-street parking to prioritise active travel and public transport and to “improve the public realm”.
Local authorities will also be encouraged to move towards the “market pricing” of car parking – again where there is good public transport.
The climate plan will also include a proposal to install solar panels on all new residential buildings and public buildings and all schools by 2025.
A new green electricity tariff will also be developed by 2025 to incentivise people to use lower cost renewable electricity at times of high wind and solar generation.

What and Why is ‘Woke?’

The modern phenomenon of ‘woke’ is hard to pin down. Is it a movement, a religion, an attitude, or a lifestyle? Here we offer our own definition that places woke in the broader historical and political story of the West.
We start with a list of attitudinal elements that most people would agree should count as part of woke. In this we are spoiled for choice, with a whole smorgasbord of examples from the personal, political and corporate spheres from which to discern the core elements. Here are our top five:
  1. Identity theft. This is best exemplified in gender appropriation, whereby anyone who says or believes they are a woman is indeed a woman and must be treated as such by others, at pain of social disapprobation and even legal punishment. The woke lack respect for previous identities.

  2. Illiberalness. The woke perspective in many areas features a suspension of belief in public debate and the value of diverse viewpoints, to the point of being willing to invade and sabotage public spaces in which such debates and viewpoints are aired.

  3. Cancel culture. We see the cancellation imperative of woke in the destruction of symbols and rituals of the previously dominant Western culture: felling monuments, defacing art, negating traditional days of celebration, using disruption and chaos to draw attention to causes, and targeting the careers of those who defend the pre-existing culture.

  4. Victimhood. Woke places primacy in the public sphere on helplessness and victimhood, preferably victimhood resulting from perceived injustices at the hands of traditional Western culture.

  5. Alarmism. Woke promotes the idea of the collapse of civilisation due to human-induced threats (like climate, viruses, or the Chinese government) and adopts ever new totems allegedly to ward off that collapse.
Identity theft has always been a go-to in the toolbox for hopeful cultural coup d’états, as for example when the Christians outfitted their Devil with the trident of the Greek god Poseidon and the goat feet of other religions, bolstering their own credentials while marginalising the older culture. Illiberalism is a staple of communism and fascism, both Western inventions. The absolutism of cancel culture is a mutation of traditional liberalism. Victimhood is an old Christian meme. Alarmism has been the bread and butter of subsidy-dependent international groups for centuries.

If you thought the Tories’ plans to make us colder and poorer were totally mad, you ain’t seen nothing yet

You couldn’t make it up. The launch of Labour’s green revolution got off to a stuttering start in Edinburgh when the eco-friendly, hydrogen-powered bus booked to ferry journalists to Keir Starmer‘s press conference failed to turn up.
No explanation was given and the vehicle was hurriedly replaced by a planet-destroying diesel, which promptly took the wrong turning after leaving the station.
Instead of heading east to Leith, the driver set off west towards Glasgow. Fortunately, Scottish Daily Mail reporter Tom Eden was able to point him in the right direction. Cue jokes about ‘another Labour U-turn’.
This wasn’t the first time a Labour leader had been left red-faced on the launchpad. Back in 1987, I was one of the Press pack covering Neil Kinnock’s General Election campaign.
Labour had hired a plane — an old prop-driven DC-3, left over from World War II — to transport us around the country.
On day one, as we tucked into bacon banjos in the private terminal at Heathrow, we learned there would be a delay. The plane had suffered a mechanical failure and was stuck on the runway at Southend airport. Kinnochio’s campaign never recovered.
Everybody back on the coach!
Yesterday’s hydrogen-related hiccup is hardly a disaster of Hindenburg airship proportions. If the polls are to be believed, Starmer is on course to be our next Prime Minister. No, the real disaster will come about if Labour’s green revolution ever reaches fruition. In economic terms, that will make the Hindenburg explosion look like a damp squib.
The only surprise yesterday was that Ed Miliband wasn’t driving the bus. After all, he’s in the driving seat when it comes to formulating Labour’s energy policy.
If you thought the Tories’ plans to make us all colder and poorer were bad enough, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Starmer seems to have sub-contracted control of Net Zero to his North London Green Manalishi. It has been a remarkable comeback by the ex-Labour leader, who should have been dead and buried after losing the 2015 election.
Remember the embarrassing ‘EdStone’ gimmick? That may have been smashed to smithereens, but Miliband now seems determined to revive the idea, by erecting a giant green headstone at the grave of what remains of Britain’s energy capacity and security.
Mister Ed set us on the road to ruin in 2008, when he was Gordon Brown’s climate supremo. He announced an arbitrary 80 per cent of Britain’s carbon emissions would be cut by 2050, a target way beyond any other country, with no clue as to how much it would cost.

The Social Credit Nightmare is NOW on your Street

Most people don’t believe that the nightmare of social credit is coming.
But it’s here. And it’s already well established.
Today, I received a copy of a newspaper called the Sidmouth Herald for 16th June 2023.
The front page splash headline reads: ‘Not Kind or Inclusive’.
And the horrifying story on page three tells of Sidmouth College in Sidmouth, Devon where parents are claiming that their children are being excluded from their prom at the end of this month.
Apparently, some pupils have been told they can’t attend their class prom because they haven’t accumulated enough ‘praise points’.
Pupils get ‘praise points’ in five categories: being ready to learn, enabling others to learn, treating the environment and others with respect, working to the best of their ability and fulfilling their responsibilities.
‘Praise points’ are apparently awarded by staff as a reward for ‘positive behaviour’.
One parent said: ‘This has caused emotional harm and it is not kind and inclusive to these children banned from the prom’.
You’re not kidding!
The scheme is, it is alleged, used to control the pupils’ behaviour throughout the year.
I can see no difference between this scheme and the social credit scheme as practised in China.
We have started down the slippery slope.
Big Brother is alive and well and keeping score.
