In October, the last (?) legendary Rock & Roller, Jerry Lee Lewis. died (87). His career was seriously derailed over the controversery of marrying his 13-year-old cousin Myra Gale Brown. This was his biggest hit.

On 10 January, legendary guitarist Jeff Beck died (aged 78). Beck first shot to fame in the mid-1960s in the Yardbirds.
Jeff Beck was lead guitarist on the debut "solo" single by Jon Bon Jovi, the theme song to the movie Young Guns II.

On 10 January she was present at the Golden globe awards, but a couple of days later Lisa Marie Presley died of a heart attack (aged 54).
Lisa Marie Presley was the daughter of THE King and in the mid-1990s was married to the King of pop.

David Crosby died aged 81. He became famous as part of The Byrds, he later continued his illustrous career solo and as part of the "supergroup" Crosby, Stills, Nash (& Young).

While Roger McGuinn sang lead on most songs of The Byrds, Crosby sang lead on the bridge of their second single.

Burt Bacharach died aged 94. Bacharach wrote dozens of hit singles, many with Hal David, including for the Drifters. Warwick performed lots of songs by Bacharach and David, after being a backup singer for the Drifters, this is one of the best known...
