The Media condemnation was universal on a massive scale. On the other hand the Climate emergency preachers, are allowed to claim that the same events, are the result of the climate sins of previous generations. Their version of the same catastrophe, seems to have universal acceptance though. Just to summarize the two points of view and put them in context. Israel’s version contains an all-powerful God who both judges and saves humanity. The climate preachers on the other hand, have no divine oversight involved and leave the planets salvation in mankind’s own hands. Personally I am glad that I believe in God because I don’t fully trust humanity to save us. Israel quoted the judgements of the God of the Old Testament, on nations and individuals who opposed him. The New Testament covenant is different though, as there is a period of grace on earth because of Jesus death and resurrection. That powerful event ushered in all of mankind's ransom and salvation begun in Acts Ch 2 verses 1 - 2 and summed up by Peter in verse 38. Having said that, the judgement of nations, Ezekiel Ch 38 and of individuals is at hand, when Jesus returns. Then people’s prayer throughout the generations, thy kingdom come, will be revealed on earth.
I have had letters published in the local paper, I will be interested to see if this one gets a run though. By the way Droughts and fires are not a new thing in this country. Its a comment on the hypocrisy and bias of the modern media in this country. Israel Folau is a Christian preacher and disgraced Test rugby and Australian rules footballer, if you are not aware.
What you have to be aware of is this, lest you die on the end of an archetypal and biblical sword, which is one and the same as a human one.
