I know a few older people who have noticed what is going on who have pointed the trails out, these are of the generation who still look upwards, unlike those with mobile computers in hand and looking down, but as you say not many are talking about this it doesn't mean its not actually taking place, sometimes things happen in plain sight, no pun intended.
One thing I have noticed is, this nearly always happens either first thing in the morning as the sun is rising and then again in the West as its setting and I have noticed that it really does make a big difference to our allotment and slows down the progress especially as we are trying to germinate our seeds, even with our greenhouse we have to do the early germination in the house where its warmer to save heating the green house for a few more weeks.
As keen gardeners we have noticed that things simply don't come into flower as early during the last ten years and people are using more heating when the sun is blocked, this will suit the corporates for more fuel burnt and seeds and crops that are less effective, thus driving up mono crop prices.
If something is making changes it will be nature which will show things are not quite right in season.
