King Charles got 3 bags filled with €1 million in cash from 2011 to 2015 from former Qatari PM Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, who's reportedly worth some $12 billion.
As Qatar's PM, from 2007 to 2013, Hamad oversaw Qatar's sovereign wealth fund that invested large sums in London's Shard skyscraper, Heathrow Airport and Harrods department store.
The €3 million was then supposedly deposited into the accounts of the Prince of Wales's Charitable Fund (PWCF), the slush fund charity that finances Charles' private projects and his estate in Scotland.
As Charles's office at Clarence House stated:
According to Norman Baker:
London police are also covering up investigating another slush fund charity of Charles, The Prince's Foundation, that offered to help the Saudi billionaire Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz secure honours and British citizenship in return for donations (how much?).
The head of the Foundation, Michael Fawcett, was forced to step down in November 2021, over Charles' pay-to-play scheme.
A letter from Fawcett to an aide to Mahfouz in August 2018, after he had donated large sums to some of Charles' pet projects, said:
Charles's office simply said that "The Prince of Wales has no knowledge" of this pay-to-play scheme: https://people.com/royals/prince-charles...-minister/

The Saudi billionaire Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz also donated £50,000 to Prince Harry's HIV charity (to kill the poor through AIDS treatment).
But Harry declined the Mahfouz £1 million donation in 2014, over concerns of adverse publicity as Mahfouz demanded a Saudi Arabia visit in return.
Of course his supposed father, Prince Charles, took the 3 million Euro in cash from Mahfouz for a promise that he would become a KBE (a British Knight), without care of the publicity...
The chief executive "money whore" of the Prince's charity foundation in the US, Robert Higdon, for 14 years lured US billionaires who could buy a seat next to Charles for a donation of £250,000 (with lesser amounts getting lesser seats): https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...tions.html
A cache of 19 letters by Charles, from 1997 to 2008, suggest that he DID have "knowledge" of the corrupt dealings of his slush funds charities.
The letters show that Charles was personally involved in getting bribes contributions from wealthy donors...
In a December 2008 letter, Prince Charles for example complained that the wealthy Lee Annenberg donated only $100,000 (£82,000) for a visitor’s centre at the Castle of Mey:

Quote:Charitable donations received from Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim were passed immediately to one of the Prince's charities who carried out the appropriate governance and have assured us that all the correct processes were followed.Charles has promised that he won't take bribes donations in cash again (no need to check of course)...
According to Norman Baker:
Quote:A million euros in cash stuffed into bags, or shoved into a holdall or a suitcase, and handed over behind closed doors is what you might expect from a South American drug baron, not the heir to the British throne. This is grubby, scuzzy behavior, which reinforces the view many are reaching, that Charles is not fit to be king.I thought that this is typical for royals that are immune from prosecution...

Quote:As you can imagine... trustees are very sad a bit more help wasn’t possible, particularly in view of Walter’s great affection for my grandmother... I hate being a bore about this but I must just make one final plea to see if we could get a bit nearer to the $1.4 million that [was] hoped for? Forgive my pestering, especially at New Year, but I feel I owe it to my darling grandmother to do as fine a job as possible with this building.https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...llage.html
