In what way?
almost entirely, to be honest. lol 'the everything is completely, thoroughly fucked and we must fight back now' message.
chris reads almost like he's inciting the revolution, but his main point is always it has to be nonviolent. he was a war correspondent for many years. he wanted us to avoid that grisly fate. has been saying for years we're sliding right into hell if we don't fight this in every nonviolent way possible.
haven't checked in on him in a while. don't know if thinks it's too late yet. (probably not though.)
he's a good, smart man. and prolific. anyone should check him out, if they're unfamiliar.
Hodges is correct we might do something but it has to be on our terms, not out in the street shouting at a bunch of paid thugs who are themselves being used as pawns upon the black and white; Our streets are pathed with golden hearts and minds with hands that are idle of their own making.
I would use partly my own philosophy and Hodges to empower the hand to eye, before these hands take to creating turmoil; This kind of ready energy is much better spent creating something useful rather than destoying, can Hodges actually do anything himself other than speak to others, because talking and shouting alone, wheather its on paper or in film simply wastes good energy.
For a peaceful non compliance first one needs to be able to create a small part of what we need by and for ourselves, turn that negative frustration into something else, anything, then as each step is taken and the images materialize the true energy is saved and used by those who expel it, not by those who think we owe them a living.
The transition must be a smooth as possible without creating the forms of scarcity that bring many things to a halt, and we might begin as of tomorrow because the fishermans purse net is almost closed up at the opening.
To me Hodges is still on the fence but I have done what I proposed already, so might we.
When those who riot begin stealing food instead of fashion from the broken windows of Top Shop, then will we know that the end is almost upon us.
