I don't go on Facebook hardly at all these days but when I did back in 2016 I had an interesting conversation with a British woman who lives not far from Calais with her French husband. She said then that categorically there were no unaccompanied children in the camps in Calais and that families with children always took any accommodation offered to them to get away from the behaviour of the young men in the camps. She also said that people in Calais no longer allowed their children to play out or their daughters to go out anywhere unaccompanied as it wasn't safe. She added that the French police are totally useless and did nothing about the situation.
And these are the "children" that the British government allows into the country.
