It really is a similar theme though! Just our interpretations of God that differ I think!
I also don’t agree with all David says in his books that would only be closed minded also but I won’t throw the baby out with the bath water like so many do.
And you know I’ve already explained I respect & value your opinions
I'm actually going to see David Icke in a month or two and I'll buy his book at the talk, it should be really interesting. There are a number of topics talked about by David and others on the origins of man, non-human entities and the reality of our world about which I really don't know what to think. I wouldn't say I disagree because I simply don't have the knowledge to agree or disagree. All I can do is go by what makes sense to me.
Traditional religion stopped making sense to me some years ago and I lost my faith when I was young. But I've been reading and listening to and watching quite a lot recently about the idea that humans changed suddenly and dramatically because of contact with more advanced beings from elsewhere and that does make sense. This is something so far outside our experience no matter how much study we do into the topic all we can do is to use our logic and gut instinct.
My interest in the nature of reality came about through reading Aldous Huxley when I was young. Not just the novels but also his excellent essays. One phrase he used struck me as very profound and which I think summed up his beliefs and also I think those of David Icke and people like Wayne Dyer and Eckhart Tolle who I've also read and would recommend. He said that "life is largely illusory but it is nevertheless important to improve the illusion". This is what Richie and the best of the independent media are trying to do, to improve the illusion.
Completely agree! Where bouts you going to see Icke? I’m going too in April Southampton! (Location undisclosed so far)
Yeah I love Wayne Dyer... he got me through some hard times last year after I came across his works... I watched & listened to so much of his stuff & then discovered he was already dead... it was a massive shock! I was almost bereaved! He aas such an amazing man but fortunately left an incredible legacy in that he can even help people like me from beyond the grave! :
Also read Tolle... the power of now years ago & it makes sense but I can’t msintain that level of calm in such a chaotic world!! Lol
