Like building 7/seven all of the buildings.
I personally think the towers were prepped for demo back in 93 or at least partially, during the first attempt at damaging the towers, during the down time when all areas were off limits
Also whenever new coms systems are replaced these could also be used as the wiring to set off the explosives, I also think that thermite could be stored inside the huge box sections around the core columns until they were needed at a later date.
I have some knowledge on buildings/fabrication/welder and construction but not an expert by any means, but you can clearly see as the towers fell they were being decimated at their core and the sub levels also, you can clearly see the outer fascade was left intact to guide the debris down the very middle like a giant funnel, until the core could hold no more and began peeling outwards, so lets recap, the outer fascade was the guiding funnel long enough to get the buildings lined up to where they wanted them to fall into.
This is exactly what happened.
The basement.
Here was the reason for the first attempt in 93, to test things for later, to see how much damage could be created to make a clear path for the debris to fall into, this is what I think happened, the basement area floors were taken out just prior to the top beginning to fall, see picture below and the main columns basically untouched by the blast wave, this is what they wanted.
Other points to note are.
The main lobby area was basically fresh air and a useable void for any debris to collect, add this to the seven sub levels and you have more than enough room for 90 percent of the steel to collect, leaving a relative small 65 foot pile above ground afterwards, the rest falling around its footprint as we see with large portions of the building peeling outwards just before it all comes to a stop.
The floors as well as the steel got progressively lighter in section as the buildings rose, and the relatively thin floor sections simply could not withstand the churning created by all the steel, this is why there was so much dust, otherwise there would be many flat section of concrete extant as we see in an earthquake scenario.
I do not trust the seismic data either, this like many other science was either altered or witheld.
This is my observation and theory.
