The movie is called Mary Magdalene. A British and Australian made movie with a female lead character Mary Magdalene and a person of colour, as Peter the disciple, has been purchased and released by the Weinstein company. Does this sound ironic to anyone? it sure does to me. In this movie Mary Magdalene is not Jesus secret wife but is no longer a prostitute. She is portrayed in this adaptation as the most important disciple and the one most aware of the plan of God.
The musical Jesus Christ Superstar had Judas as the hero and gave Mary Magdalene the best song of the show, I don't know how to love him. Mel Gibson made his graphic version of the story minus the resurrection and soon after fell foul of the Jews of Hollywood. Jesus by the way was beaten by a Roman scourging, which means beaten to the point of death, so it was more graphic than it was portrayed. He was then crucified for crimes he was innocent of and while he was being spat on and derided he said, father forgive them they don't know what they do.
Hollywood is run by those who had Jesus killed, so it is no surprise they would be happy promote this movie, except that it is owned by Weinstein.
Most scripts in Hollywood movies have to contain, lots of swear word references to Jesus, some totally out of context. If Jesus is not the son of God, why does the world feel so compelled, by nonstop propaganda, to prove that he isn't. Perhaps we need a movie that shows the theories of Albert Einstein were given to him by his gay gardener,and his transgender housemaid, sorry house person. Maybe I am being sarcastic, I know there are people on this forum who don't believe Jesus existed at all. Perhaps that is just a sign of the time we live in, the year of our Lord 2018AD.

We are all living in the kind of movie and system that you bravely sat and watched, as it was intended, its the same movie that the Hebrew Scribes put down in words so long ago, words that nobody was allowed to know about until its magic was complete and their minds were like confetti, thereafter the fraudulent religions or new contenders to this Big Idea altered it for their own share of the remaining minds and the tithes of plenty that would follow for their aggrandizement also, you should be able to see it quite plainly by now, it is a long term control system and plan that is almost complete as we speak.

The Jesus characters in the current day play who are trying to point out the same inhuman practices as the bible story fit together perfectly; these people simply cannot stop, because to do so they would all die off very quickly, Why, because they would all have to get a real job, not the ones they are currently using to create such misery upon the planet and their bid for world governance, they are like Casey Jones at the throtle of Engine Number 1, hopefully they will run out of fuel/stolen taxes before they reach their destination.

The secret garden of these peoples eden knows full well that what they have in store for us will not jell well with the old religious parlance and has to be erradicated before the new cycle begins, it happened exactly like this when the Jesus story was born, these minds know that the technology they have is light years ahead of its time and as usual is kept or stolen from the people who thought it up into existence.

I feel they are getting desperate now and will make many mistakes in trying to push yet another Big Idea forward, but to stop this madness those who are effected by it need to cease feeding it, it will not be easy but it will have to be done in order of the majority seeing it for what it is.

Really, you have no more instances from the Bible that can explain what is actually taking place today, the same story as is portrayed in the new film aforementioned, everything happening today is from the Bible long term bussiness plan, recorded by the same minds that have Governed our minds for millenia.

The words therin are the plans which are unfolding as they planed them to unfold, I thought you would have seen the different cycles panning out by now, but we could change most for the better if we desired them to.

Another name for a will is a testament. The first testament contained promises to mankind if you like, the first will. If Jesus is no one of importance, why is there such a ground swell of opposition to him and his teachings. No one is after Buddha and Krishna and their stories. Just another observation from my understanding of God's plan. By the way Mary Magdalene received the Holy Spirit on the first out pouring of it on the day of Pentecost Acts Ch 2. Just as Mary, Jesus mother and the other disciples did. I received the same Spirit in 1989, which makes them my brothers and sisters and God my father.

All of this means nothing to me Greg, so I will thank you for your conjecture and simplyhave to wait to find out what will happen, I believe in neither God or the D-evil one, so I do not have a following to bare, I will simply be happy with whatever happens and leave of this earth knowing that our children made in the eyes of their Pater and Mother and are being nurished with the goodness of the planet itself.

they were middle eastern people, so not sure what your point is about an actor being a 'person of colour'. that would be accurate, not ironic.

though if it's only one out of a whole cast, that would be typical, lame hollywood. but i think bible characters have long since been universal enough, long enough to be played by any ethnicities.

Peter was of Hebrew origin and not an Ethiopian. My observation is the attempt of movies to rewrite history, to suit there own agendas. There is nothing to indicate in history that the leader of the Jerusalem church was African.

well, you do know mary magdalen wasn't a prostitute, and there are several longstanding.... schools of thought (for lack of a better term) that posit she was the closest disciple & that's why he appeared to her first.

almost anyone who discusses anything about the bible is inaccurate and suiting their own agendas. no one agrees on any aspects of it. not historians, theologians, believers.... there are a myriad of versions of it, not to mention translations of those versions, before anyone even gets to interpretations, faith traditions, or cultural influences.

btw, your original post doesn't indicate anyone in it is going to be african. but i don't see why it would bother anyone. with films you have all the aforementioned issues with the bible intersecting with art, which is an entirely different sort of free for all.

I also know a girl who was a heroin addicted prostitute before she received the Holy Spirit. To look at her today you would have no idea she was once like that. She is a sister in the Lord just as Mary Magdalene is. I believe this world try's to confuse the message of the Bible because it is true, thats my opinion though. You have to make up your own mind. I just thought Harvey Weinstein being involved in this movie was ironic. A person of color is the PC way of saying someone is of African descent. The guy that plays Peter, played the lead role in the movie 12 years a slave. The ancient world wasn't political correct thats why it seems history has to be changed to suit modern thinking. Someone is bound to think these comments are racist and sexist but they are not 'ist' at all. I personally believe we are all equal, this is just an observation and a comment.
