Richie's Phone in
#5
(02-06-2021, 12:17 AM)Dylan_Kennedy Wrote: Hi Finn, My parents are both long gone, bit of a blessing for them, really, not having to go through all this. By the time I was 27 they had both passed, Dad passed first, when I was 4, back in 1973. Music has been my Life, and is only 2nd now to my wife and kids. Been playing the guitar for just over 30 years, been in few bands when I was younger, only play for my own amusement these days, very therapeutic. These days I produce my own podcast (Nowhere near the professional standard of Richie, in terms of presenting, but I’m happy enough with the standard of the production)
You can find it over at https://odysee.com/@UTHpod:9 or simply search for Dylan Kennedy on the site. The first edition is comprised of my Podcast recommendations (Richie’s Show is obviously included) to help pass the time as well as getting some useful information. Give it a listen and check out some of my recommendations. Hope you can get something out of it, other than a laugh at my clunky presenting skills lol. Hope this finds you well, all the best, Dylan

Dylan ... Yeah, that sounds like a fecker of a blow at 4 years old, I hope you managed to retain SOME memory of him given that it's usually only fleeting instances we retain at that age ...

I am lucky in the fact I am 55 but still have both my Mam and my Dad with us - as you can imagine I am on edge if they have to go near anything NHS in case they just sneak that needle in .. My dad - NEVER in a million, but my Mam is someone that would I think, if isolated from US could find herself bullied into rolling her sleeve up ... God Help Anyone that did that to her without MY consent! BUT happily they have both knocked the invitation back and being mid to just over mid 70's I think what was happening to the poor souls isolated in the retirement homes (unbeknownst to them Death Chambers) if they had doubts about my brother and me continuously updating them, saw what was going on and steeled up!

I spent this weekend sourcing, downloading and printing documentation to form a 'welcome pack' for the new force assembled, the DEATH PERSUADERS, it contains enough weight for my Dad to articulate to any such 'spirited demon' why HE is NOT attending the party and once he's done, for my Mam to roll up and beat them out of the house with (lol) IF they manage to weedle their way in past the electronic - gate, communal entrance THEN their own front door .... (The rest of the building of six are believers so the first two obstacles will present less of a challenge than the last one)

As for the music - I didn't guitar to the heights you enjoyed but it didn't stop me playing, however my hands are clawed now with Osteoarthritis and I can no longer reach all the chords, but not to worry as I have some first class listening equipment that more than compensates for that loss. I will certainly head over to give your pod cast a hearing, however, as if you can believe that a 'semi' retired crippled vehicle mechanic would have less available minutes in a week than say ... 'Richie' (why not) ... I found out this - You do NOT retire from repairing vehicles, you just don't go to a garage every day where they PAY you for coming ... you just change from THAT to the PERSONAL vehicle maintenance 24 hour breakdown, pre MOT and MOT obtaining Dad, Uncle, brother (this one was not a NEW one, just a more frequent) and Son (that I would have NO other way) Did I say fresh vehicle inspector, even IF the prospective Fiat 500 is 150 miles away on a Tuesday night and she wants to go straight away in case it sells (in front of the other 2,000 available, 1,000 of which are under 30 miles away lol) but you get that I expect.

Sadly - I realised toooo late that Mrs Money, my ex-wife hadn't 'signed up' for my having a reduced mobility, NOT ZERO, just reduced, despite what I thought was her actually doing so in front of that chap in the coloured dress at a Gothic looking place I USED to attend as a good Irish Catholic (Now i'm just Irish, although a lifetime in the 'county of' Greater Man-chis-to, means you would barely know it unless I had just been with people from back home lol) AND that it was actually only OK to fix cars when it was HER car I was attending to ... But I have a large and close family with the generation of my kids being as English and Manchester people as you could be although I did retain my Son as a Celtic supporter and I await the knock from child services for offering him to trail up to Glasgow every week for about 7-8 years to watch the SPL albeit he's turned 30 now lol (Shhhhh I know, not a great season) BUT not a great spectacle either - It's not football without the fans - it's training matches and I only watch it to spend all the time available with my Dad ... I often cannot contain myself but to self torture myself with thoughts of losing them, I am dreading the days ...

I by chance spotted a post from Steve the obsessive poster on here about a study from the University of Dallas ... in 2018 ... but I found the paper so I have prior to seeing your post replied to him to thank him for actually posting it as it's not an obvious thing BUT, given events this last week personally, I think I was MEANT to find it today !!

I know the BBG has probably said this 1,000 times about his Sunday show that I have yet to get chance to hear and I came on today to hear the recording BUT it isn't in the list ... It may be that it doesn't re-run and I think I recall him mentioning something along those lines due to copyright etc and why the songs don't play on his weekly re-runs etc BUT if you know this I would appreciate you posting it here, Yesterday 07/02 during his two hours, my Dad was listening to him 'Sunday' for the first time and he heard a 'piece' I was astonished to hear how much he liked, it was a song from an opera and that is all I know - I would really like to know which Opera and the singer/song so I can get it for him ... Mind you, He and Ma have tickets (twice postponed) for Andrei Botticelli in Liverpool (they are hitting the culture straps at last lol) poor sods don't think they will get to se it as they won't have the required credentials ie. that mark of Satan they will call a VaxPass (Not a Vauxhall Dylan lol, that's VauxCarPass) - I am sure I will find out if I throw the question out but if you know or even if you know if Richie's Sunday morning songs is re-run anywhere, I would appreciate it ...

Not easy to stay sane but HERE does make it possible ...

Stay safe my friend ...

Finn

Quick FYI ... Your Odyssey cast is CRYSTAL clear, I'm listening to your first cast now ... I would think your Anglo/Scottish clarity is very understandable ... I am not the perfect source however for this as I have spent a lot of time in Glasgow and having taken English people to see football in the City, Incredibly I have translated conversation !!! But I personally have no trouble with a hard Glasga accent besides any Scottish other ... BUT yes the transmission is bang on ...

I can point two other people you MAY wish to point out Professor Dolores Cahill, her interview with a chap you just mentioned James Corbyn but also her interview with French Geneticist - Alexandra Henrion Caude ... Dolores will explain EXACTLY what the MRNA does and it is enough to shit scare a police horse - Dr Vernon Coleman you know yourself if you listen to Richie ..,. a man that bleeds integrity

I did see a post about Dolores in the States attempting to discredit her - absolute crap it was - ZERO substance, there was a question levied at the post .... "Can you post where you obtained this information about Dolores?" ... Needless to say the original poster has forgot to check back !! I printed out Dolores' qualifications as part of that pack I mentioned in my reply earlier ... It took THREE A4 PRINTED pages ... FECKIN THREE !!!! Times Roman Text size 11 for the Blindo's lol

I will catch as many of your casts as possible as I can transmit them from my computer with a small transmitter to FM ... They aren't hours of a cast which means I should find time to listen as I move about the house albeit the re-run ... Max Egan is great BTW ...Richie had him on last week ... But you may know that already

I'll roll your second one now ...

PS Don't know WHY I thought you was down here in Manchester Dylan, but I was surprised when you piped up lol
