I have to agree with the sense of liberation from removing yourself from FB. And also the fact that 'friends' are not willing to make contact outside of social media, I found both these things when i came off a few years back.
Those that are true friends will keep being friends regardless of method of communication, they're the ones worth keeping!
I like all the talk about us starting our own web pages if we have something worthy of saying publicly, i may start one soon slating FB, but only if i get enough likes

I am so glad we have Facebook, otherwise I would have too drive round half the country to show people a picture of my cat... So very true, sadly
