Dr. Jason Dean with Dr. Tina St. John -

Carmen Di Luccio, FB

☿ Mercury has now caught up to the Sun in Sagittarius in what is called a 'Superior Conjunction'. It will travel ahead of it from now until the next retrograde. At this time we may have experiences, insights, developments, thoughts, conversations or information being presented to us that can bring some clarity, realizations, a conclusion, or further understanding of how to move forward in connection to things that have occurred over the last few months. From this point on and into the coming weeks, we can proceed with greater perception, and potentially confidence, around certain areas of life that have been experiencing adjustments.⠀
It is aligned with the Galactic Center, a part of the sky that reflects higher consciousness, evolution, ET's, and central energy or centralized areas of life. Sometimes it's influence can bring challenges in order to change what is no longer serving us, which can be in this case considering its proximity to the Lunar South Node. ⠀
The Moon is also currently in Pisces, moving towards a conjunction with Neptune which brings a soothing, flowy, dreamy, imaginative, spiritual and creative vibe. Jupiter is also officially now in Aquarius with Saturn as they are getting closer to their exact conjunction that is occurring on the Solstice. Check out my recent Solar Eclipse article and/or podcast to learn more about that. Links on my wall.

The Great Conjunction -

CE Podcast Interview with Joe Martino

I recently joined Joe Martino on the Collective-Evolution podcast talking about the upcoming Grand Conjunction and other interesting things that came up in our conversation. You can listen to it here or across most podcast platforms, just search for 'The Collective-Evolution Show/Podcast'. A video version is also available on CETV.

Many people are talking about the upcoming Great Conjunction, an astrological event involving the rare aligning of Saturn and Jupiter on Dec 21st.

Joe sits down with astrologer Carmen DiLuccio to get some insight into what’s going on and why so many believe something “big” is going to happen.

In the episode, we explore:

– What the great conjunction is.
– The societal and cultural themes this alignment may affect,
– Whether this is the start of the Age of Aquarius, and much more.

The Great Conjunction In Aquarius

Entering A New Era

This text is from my recent Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius article on Collective-Evolution.com, in case you have already read it.

A major Astrological event is happening on the December 21st Solstice which has long term implications. Jupiter and Saturn are aligned which is something that occurs every 20 years. It is referred to as ‘Great’ or ‘Grand’ because these are the largest planets with the biggest orbits that are visible with the naked eye. These qualities reflect how they have a strong long term influence on our society at large when they are in alignment.

Whenever there is a conjunction of any planets (or luminaries) it initiates a new cycle and ends a previous one. Similarly as when it is a New Moon, it is ending and beginning a cycle between the Sun and Moon. However, in this case we are not only beginning a new 20 year cycle but it is also solidifying a new era in which we will have Jupiter-Saturn cycles almost exclusively in Air signs for nearly 200 years, with the exception of a cycle in Scorpio in 2159.

The cycles of Jupiter and Saturn represent the coming together of structures and beliefs that influence how society functions, builds, and is systemized. However, it affects many aspects of society, even beyond that description.  In the last 200 year window we have been in an Earth period in which there has been more of a general focus on practicality, physical resources, routine, materialism, asset building, realism, regularity, and capitalism throughout society.

The Air period reflects more of a focus on innovation, ideas, intellect, the mind, reason, information, certain types of freedom, and social aspects of life. The internet, computing, and digital technology is very much connected to the Air element. In comparison to Earth, Air it can also be more inconsistent with change happening at faster rates.

We have actually been transitioning into the Air period since the early 80’s when we had the first Grand Conjunction in Air (in Libra) but then the following one was in Earth in the year 2000 (in Taurus). Therefore the last 40 years have been a transition from one to the other, and a blend of both.

Now as we approach the new cycle in Aquarius it will keep recurring in Air for the long haul over the next few centuries as we are currently fading out of the Earth period. This Aquarius cycle will put more of an emphasis on technology, community, equality, science, humanitarianism, progressiveness,  along with a blend of rationality and idealism. There can be pros and cons depending on your personal beliefs and preferences. Socialism and communism are very much Aquarian along with transhumanism, artificial intelligence (AI), and the merging of humans with computing technology.

Interestingly, the exact conjunction is occurring on the December 21st Solstice which is a very symbolic and potent time of the year for transitions. This conjunction will be happening right at the first degree of Aquarius which is also strongly reflective of new beginnings. Another interesting thing is that this is the closest conjunction of these planets in nearly 800 years which puts another exclamation mark on its significance and the symbolization of entering a new era.
Some people believe that we are now officially going into the Age of Aquarius which lasts for over 2000 years and is based on a larger precessional cycle. The exact beginning date of this age is a grey area and is something that is debated amongst astrologers as there can be different markers for the beginning and ending of it. Also, the observation of these 2000 year ages is something that has only been discussed for the last few hundred years in Western Astrology and is apparently absent in older astrological texts. Therefore this is not acknowledged widely within the astrological community as a whole.

Personally, it seems to me that there is some relevance to these 2000 year ages however it is still not totally clear. If these ages are a real thing, regardless of the actual start date, then we may be close to the cusp of the Aquarian age. Although the ages have nothing to do with the position of the planets, this Jupiter-Saturn conjunction can be reasonably theoretically seen as a planetary representation of the ushering in of the Aquarian age. But keep in mind this is all theoretical and the transitions from one age to the next lasts hundreds of years regardless. Either way, we are still entering a 20 year Aquarian period and solidifying an approximately 200 year Air period.

Mercury is now stationary as it is ending its retrograde process and will slowly begin to move forward over the coming days. The areas of our lives that have been affected by this retrograde will start to become more clear, things will fall into place more easily, and we will be in a better position to proceed ahead in a way that is revised based on what has transpired or will transpire over the coming days as it picks up speed.
However, usually the first few days after it ends can still feel like it is retrograde as complications may occur or we can have an incomplete or false sense of clarity due to Mercury’s stationary position. It’s usually best to wait until at least 3 days afterwards before finalizing big decisions, agreements, signing contracts, etc. Nonetheless, this stationary period can still be good for taking important steps towards things that need to get done.
Nearly 2 months later when Mercury catches up to the Sun, on April 18th/19th and/or in the days following, there may be even more clarity around certain things that have come up during this specific retrograde. From there, the matter may develop further with a better perception, or circumstances may indicate lack of sufficiency, not what was anticipated, or that something needs to change.

New Moon In Virgo: Breakthroughs & Innovation -
by Carmen Di Luccio

We are having a New Moon in Virgo on September 6th in the Americas and on September 7th elsewhere. This is initiating a 29.5 day lunar cycle and new wave of energy for the coming month; however, the astrological aspects mentioned throughout this article will be more prominent over the following two weeks

We have been in Virgo season since August 22nd/23rd,  however, this New Moon will activate its energies even more so. Virgo is associated with productivity, duties, health, cleanliness, and purity. It is organized, adaptable, conscientious, skillful, orderly, punctual, diligent, efficient, discerning, precise, and practical. It is also associated with pets.

Being an Earth sign ruled by Mercury, Virgo is analytical and detail oriented when it comes to handling aspects of the physical world. It is about problem solving, adjusting to changing conditions, and coming up with solutions. There is an emphasis around service and helping others. Negatively, this energy can be cynical, fussy, high strung, and perfectionistic. It can also be too mentally oriented and overly critical.

This New Moon is in a nearly exact trine with Uranus in Taurus. This is very strong in the sixteen hours leading up to the lunation and in the nine to ten hours afterwards, however, it will still have an influence over the following two weeks.

This can be good for changing things up and taking new approaches to things. We may experience positive surprises/shifts, make discoveries, receive beneficial insights, or be creatively inspired. This energy can be exciting, stimulating, liberating, innovative, inventive, revolutionary, and is supportive of originality.

Developments or approaches that involve technology, science, metaphysics, or astrology can also play out. Considering that this is a New Moon in Virgo, this is good for doing any sort of work or efforts that can have a freeing effect such as getting things done that have been weighing us down or obstructing us in some way. This can also be good for re-arranging, organizing, renovating, or getting rid of things to clear space and energy.

Full Moon In Pisces-

Transitions & Sensitivity…

We are having a Full Moon in Pisces on September 20th/21st. It will appear the brightest on the night of the 20th throughout the world. This is the peak of the Lunar cycle that began with a New Moon In Virgo on September 6th/7th.

The energies of a Full Moon are strongest in the days surrounding it yet its astrological configurations also play a part over the following two weeks. You may start to see its themes slowly build up after the New Moon prior.

This is a period in which we feel a push-pull between two opposing signs, in this case being the Moon in Pisces and the Sun in Virgo. It can play out as either a conflict, an integration, or some sort of dynamic between the energies of both signs. The Moon reflects the expression of feeling and emotion while the Sun reflects the expression of ego and conscious self.

We may feel this opposition happening individually within us and/or we can also experience it play out around us; with some people (or circumstances) expressing the Piscean side and others expressing the Virgoan side. In some cases, Full Moons can also reflect/trigger some sort of change or release.

Full Moon In Pisces Close To Neptune, Opposite Sun In Virgo, Approaching Equinox

We have been in Virgo season since August 22nd/23rd which will continue until September 22nd/23rd. Virgo is an Earth sign ruled by Mercury. It is associated with tasks, duty, service, productivity, practicality, organizing, analyzing, perfection, physical health, cleanliness, sustainability, and purity.
Virgo is systematic, detailed, discerning, discriminating, diligent, and efficient. Virgo corresponds with problem solving, adjusting to changing conditions, and coming up with solutions. Negatively, Virgo energy can be cynical, overly critical, fussy, high strung, and too much in the head.
The Full Moon highlights and brings the energies of the opposing sign of Pisces into this Virgo backdrop. The Moon is near Neptune which is associated with Pisces (viewed as a modern ruler) and has similar energies, therefore increasing the same themes.
Pisces is a Water sign, although it is linked to Neptune, it is traditionally ruled by Jupiter. It is associated with sensitivity, compassion, empathy, spirituality, creativity, art, inspiration, dreams, imagination, oneness, and idealism. Pisces can be psychic, mystical, healing, and retreating. Negatively, this sign can also be unrealistic, flaky, elusive, delusional, and deceptive. It is associated with escapism and the intoxication of drugs/alcohol.
This Full Moon is occurring less than two days leading up to the the equinox. This will be the start of Fall in the Northern Hemisphere and beginning of Spring in the South. Equinoxes are periods of transition, not only season wise but also energetically. With this Full Moon occurring near the end of the last sign, the transitional themes of the Equinox are accentuated and potential developments at this time may be reflective of this.

Mercury Trine Jupiter, Square Pluto, Going Retrograde Soon -

As mentioned in my previous article, Mercury in Libra is currently slowing down (from our Earth based vantage point) and will be going retrograde on September 26th/27th. The common and well known inconvenient manifestations of retrograde can already start to be noticeable. Some of things that are playing out throughout September will be connected to shifts and adjustments that occur in October and possibly early November.

At the time of this Full Moon we have Mercury and Jupiter (in Aquarius), the rulers of both Virgo and Pisces, in a trine with each other. This helps harmonize and mitigate the oppositional energies of the Sun, Moon and the signs they are in. Communications, thoughts, and connections with others can be expansive, educational, idealistic, optimistic, philosophical, big picture oriented, or could involve perceived meanings. Some people may receive positive news or be involved in a seemingly beneficial transaction.

Mercury then moves towards a square with Pluto on September 21st-23rd. We can be compulsive, pessimistic, suspicious, or fearful under this influence. Conflicts, manipulation, power struggles, forceful communications, or intense exchanges can also occur. This energy can be good for deep thoughts and conversations, or getting to the bottom of things. Both this transit and Mercury’s trine to Jupiter will also occur again during the upcoming retrograde and therefore these energies will play out during/following it in different ways.

Venus Opposite Uranus, Mars & Sun Trine Saturn

Venus in Scorpio is moving towards an opposition to Uranus in Taurus which will peak on September 22nd/23rd. At best, this can be exciting, stimulating, impulsive, or sudden when it comes to friendships, social life, love, and attraction. However this energy can also be disruptive, separative, unstable, rebellious, or inconsistent when it comes to those areas. For some people, this can play out as financial loss or spending money suddenly without factoring in considerations.

Mars in Libra is in a trine with Saturn which peaks on September 25th/26th followed by the Sun also in a trine Saturn on September 29th/30th. This can be good for disciplined effort and applying ourselves in a structured, responsible, committed, cautious, stable, and realistic way. This will be occurring as Mercury is transitioning to retrograde, so therefore we may still have to contend with nuisances. However these Saturn aspects can help us to be composed and directed while this is happening.

Things To Consider -

What has been coming up for you throughout September when it comes to your relations with others? Do you feel like you need to make important changes or transitions? How can you balance your duties or productivity with your spiritual, emotional, or self-care needs? How does your physical health or personal space reflect your energy?

These are just some examples of themes that could come up or ways to approach this period; however, there may be other variations of this energy playing out as well.  If you wish to do any sort of intentional release, it is best to do so after it begins to wane following the peak or during the two weeks afterwards when it is waning before the next New Moon. The exact peak time for this Full Moon is at 11:55pm Universal Time on September 20th. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.
