Just deleted my history & started using Duck Duck Go & signed into twitter ... see a video on Colton Haab and go to watch but faced with this!
Didn’t realise that every video I ever watched was attached to me despite me not having a you tube account!!!!
More fool me... I know what they’re like but in my naivety I didn’t realise they log everything I watch even though I’m not logged into you tube!!!

Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge Firefox etc. Oh ok well I downloaded the DuckDuckGo app on my phone so I just go through that!!... there’s a safari tab but that automatically goes to google so I thought I’d download the app! That’s where I came across the problem!
I do most of my internet through the phone... much to my detriment according to Max Igan who I listened to the other day....
Thanks for your help sjp1

Most new phones are dialled into the Google world, you can change your preferences in your settings to open with duckduckgo, also remember if you go to DuckDuck from Google you will still be tracked, you need to open on demand to duckduck in your settings from the get go.

A pleasure Charlotte. The way to use DuckDuckGo is to install the Tor network, that would mean entering the dark web though. [quote pid='854' dateline='1519569865']

As long as there is electricity there will be an avenue to every electrical device, so it does not really matter if its a light or dark web its all the same 50 hertz sine wave, do you remember the first plug in baby alarm's that would work down the road when it was plugged into your neigbours house socket, well this is how signals can be transported as was the very first internet that was shown on tomorrows wold years ago.
