Credit Suisse sees both bail out and bail in at the same time - billions vanished yesterday

The Credit Suisse bailout combined government liquidity (a bail "out") with bank confiscation of tier 1 bank bonds (a bail "in") to achieve a lawless, blatantly illegal overnight merger with UBS bank, bypassing any shareholder vote and destroying tens of billions in assets.
This all just happened last night. And the banking contagion will continue to spread.
It started with the crypto collapse, then FTX, then it spread to Silicon Valley where crypto exposure was large in commercial banks, and now it has spread to large banks in Europe.
The contagion isn't over. This will only get worse and more widespread. The collapse of the western financial system is now under way.

A week-and-a-half after the second-largest bank failure in American history ignited uncertainty throughout the global economy, experts warn bank failures and the stabilization measures taken by the Federal Reserve and Wall Street are creating even greater bank consolidation — and might further pave the way for a central bank digital currency (CBDC).
Silicon Valley Bank’s (SVB) collapse earlier this month led to the collapse of Signature Bank, the voluntary closing of Silvergate Bank and the takeover of all three banks by the FDIC.
In response, top credit rating agency Moody’s lowered the outlook for the entire U.S. banking system to “negative.”
Now the banking crisis is spreading to Europe. Swiss regulators engineered a “forced marriage” between UBS and the troubled Credit Suisse this past weekend as part of an effort to stabilize the bank in the face of increasing concerns that a major financial crisis is imminent.

The bank runs have only just begun. By the end of this year, the cascading collapse of the US banking system will become even more frantic, and the false promises of claiming "everything's fine" will be overrun by the fearful shouts of the newly panicked masses who foolishly believed government lies yet again.
History is, predictably, repeating itself. We've seen this fall before, and each time, dishonest government officials tell us everything's fine, right up until the day the collapse becomes too obvious to deny. Of course, by that time, the assets of the citizenry have been destroyed, and in-the-know government officials will have diverted whatever loot they can confiscate to their own padded pockets.
